Play video from sd 2010 audi a4 premium

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I just bought AUDI A4 Premium. I saw i have SD lot. I tried to research but couldnt find the solution. How do i play video files from SD card. I bought 4g card. I do not have navigation or backup camera, just bluetooth. Please let me know if i can play video files from that SD slot, if not what are other ways to play videos on my car. Thanks in advance.

I have NAV package so I do have a DVD slot, however it will not play while car is not in Park (but this can be changed via VCDS). To my knowledge, not sure of any other way? I know the SD slots have trouble playing audio files that aren't mp3, a quarter of the music currently on my SD card doesn't play.

the dealership told me that you can play video on the 3g from SD while in motion however i dont know personally. as for non nav you cant period on the stock system you need to add other systems for example the Xcarlink

if you dont have the nav i dont think you have the video option at all. and im not sure our cars even support video from SD, thats music only. only way i've heard of video is when you have the nav and the MMI 3G, but i doubt the 2010 premium has that.

search for xcarlink, thats the most popular aftermarket system it seems. i have it and it works well, not through SD though it supports just video in so you'd have to get like an extra thing that can do USB/SD card to video/audio out through the composite cables. and also i believe for the old MMI system, the SD card slot only supports non high capacity/high speed SD cards, and every 4gb card i've seen is a HC one, i've only been able to find 2gb cards that are non-HC and have been able to use those, just FYI in case you have an issue with the SD card not being recognized or something.

It will say on your system (physcially) - if it's Audi Concert, it is non-MMI and won't have video playback function.
Basically, if your screen has two tones (orange/grey, red/grey, green/grey whatever), this is a NON-MMI.
If there are multiple colors, that is MMI and you can play videos.

It is concert but have Bluetooth no dvd or navigation. I am confused on which carlink should i get . is this the one? Audi Multimedia Video Interface Audi A4 A5 Q5 (B8) 2008>

Your is same as mine, just the concert.
This is not MMI.
If you have an iphone, installing xcarlink is a nice solution (ports your phone screen to concert screen).
I would do this if I had an iphone, but I'm an android user (no solution for android yet).

Not sure how you would power the external DVD player but yes, I believe you can connect it using RGB output..
