Recommend any good rim repair shops in the Seattle area?

... hopefully in the North sound?

Before I get the flames, yes I did use the search.

I curbed one of my allroads wheels really bad - rash about 3/4 of the way around the rim, down to the alloy in certain spots. Looks gnarly.

I contacted Sameday repair and their service start at $275+tax. I think that is pretty steep since I bought a MINT set of allroad rims for $350 on craigslist (for the winters). The mechanic that did my alignment mentioned a place around Bellevue that did some VW rims for him and he mentioned about $150 - I wish I remember the name of this place! I haven't called any other place, but figured I would ask the forums first before I start calling random places not really knowing their work.

    Recommendations welcome!!

I paid $275+tax from the dealer, it's worth it with nice wheels if you want an OEM look.

    Long overdue update...

So I had my wheel repaired by Chris of SameDay by dropping it off at Barrier and specifically asking for him to do it. The final bill was in the $260 region and I am VERY happy with the results - thus the $$ was worth it!

I first contacted Cascade wheel, paid them a visit and was not impressed. At first they wanted to dismount the tire and repaint the entire rim. Concerned about paint matching they showed me the gray they use to paint all VW/Audi products. there was a big difference and was not sold even though they tried to convince me it looked the same "from this angle, or that angle..." For $150, I wasn't taking chances. After calling a few other places it seemed obvious what I had to do.

Chris was great to deal with over the phone and in trying to get me taken care of. He used the RIGHT color code for the wheel and did an amazing job blending it with the OEM paint and finish and making it look 99.9% perfect. To me it was the BEST bang for the buck. Xtek's advice was spot on.

I appreciate everyone's input and their suggestions. :-)

Now I can put that night of joyriding in the snow and scuffing the curb behind me as an important lesson learned (and very, very grateful it wasn't more damage)!!

    Good to hear.
I looked back at your post but, was it just refinished? No bends fixed? Tia

Just sanding down, smoothing and fill of the lip, then blending of paint and clearcoat.

No bends or anything, all cosmetic.

Any before / after pics from the work? I just happen to get scratches and a curbing on two wheels recently. They will definitely need touch up soon, the eyesore is killing me.
