We're pretty happy Audi decided to make this engine E85 compatible.

So far the gains look great.

This is some of our stage 1 tuning vs stock. No other modifications.

I believe it is only on the automatic's as my B8.5 14' model year 6spd manual does not have the metal intake manifold.

Ok Arin, when you are going to sell a manifold upgrade kit so us B8 drivers can add a nice metal manifold and 5th injector to our cars. I'm guessing this would also require a different fuel pump and other hardware.

I don't see why they would if they don't sell a BT kit (for our application) that requires it. K04 runs perfectly fine without it.

Go check your intake manifold, Is it metal or plastic? Thats the easiest way to find out, Also check inside your fuel door. If you can run E85 it will list it.

Great news can't wait to see stage 2 #'s.. When can we expect this ?? I have been waiting since august of 2012 for a tune but my box code doesn't have 1.

How about this, aluminum intake manifold on b8.5 but gas cap is a regular cap and not listed e85? Any thoughts?

Metal manifold cars have full factory E85 support.

Doesn't matter if it's an automatic or manual. Transmission layout has nothing to do with your fueling.

RTFM folks. You don't have to convert anything to run E85, the B8.5 is already set up to run it and switch on the fly to accommodate it software wise. Be advised though while you do get the power gain, YOU WILL LOSE ON FUEL MILEAGE! Expect to see a 70-80 mile drop in fuel consumption per tank.

E85 is E85. The pump has to say E85 for it to be E85. Like this:



The way the tune will work is as follows:

You will be given a 91, a 93 and a 100 octane program. If you normally use 93, and later fill up with E40, E60, E70, E85, E100, Ewhatever, just keep driving. The ECU has a sensor that will read the Ethanol content and will begin blending different maps between our 93 and Ethanol program. If the content is better, you get more performance. : )

I'll go into more details, full details, when we launch the software.

Thanks man! I was just wondering if E85 has an official octane rating - I googled it and it seems there is consensus that E85 hovers around the equivalent of 100 octane unleaded, +/- a few pts.

Yup! Looks like it's supported on CFKA, CPMA, CPMB.
