    Tinting/smoking fog lights?

Well my fog lights are looking pretty foggy and even burnt in some spots. I really don't feel like buying new housings right at this moment due to a few other mods I want to do first. so I was thinking about just tinting/smoking them to attempt to cover up some of the foggyness and burns. Thoughts on this? And does anybody have pics of a b8 with tinted fog lights? I'd like to see if it looks good before I give it a shot

mine were getting a bit hazy and blurry too, i just put on some light tint film on there, so its not black and you cant even tell its smoked or anything its just darker looking but not a whole lot, definitely hides the hazyness though. ill try to find a decent pic in a bit

I'm either going to use yellow film to cover it because I already have yellow fogs anyways. Or I was thinking about trying the VHT night shade on them. I have used it on my old jeep and it came out nice

I had some haziness inside my fogs, so while I had my bumper off swapping grilles, I took the time to clean the fog lenses using rubbing alcohol, large detailing q-tips, and compressed air.

    Look much better now.

You could try to order a sheet of Lamin-x and cutting covers out, or use a spray tint. For a glossy tint I've had good luck on previous cars using translucent spray paint (available at hobby shops, it's used for tinting model car windows) but it needs a very well etched surface to stick to. Personally I never loved the finish of night shade, if I was going for tint with a matte finish I'd use Plasti dip like I did on my tail lights so at least it's removable.
