    Crankcase Breather Hose/Valve Cover gasket

So I bought a C5 A6 a few weeks ago and of course it has oil leaks. I was dumb and and distracted and didn't check the under side of the car. I have done some research and opted to buy a new set of breather hoses, valve cover gaskets, center gaskets, Cam seals, etc. I have heard that these area's cause the majority of the leaks associated with this motor (2.8)

I don't mind doing the work or putting the money into it, I just want to make sure I am getting quality parts. I have found a few kits at ECS and Blauparts and I was curious if some one to could attest to the quality of these kits. I'll link the kits below that I am looking into picking up.

Is there anyway to test the PVC system if it is starting to get clogged up, prior to the car throwing a code

Not as far as I know, If you are worried about I would check the breather hoses and see if you have any sludge build up or blockage forming. Just be careful with them, depending on age and the level of care they may be brittle.

Personally, I'm not. Would that indicate an issue with the PCV system?

I am about to change all of these parts as well as the TB etc. on my 2001 Audi A6 2.8. I have spent a great deal of time researching and have come up with the following.

I decided to use all ECS parts except for the following which I will purchase from Audi.

Valve cover gaskets, waterpump (metal gasket) , half moons and tensioner gaskets.

I am not an experienced mechanic by any means. My decision comes from research.

    All the best
