Looking for an iPhone mount for my S6. What are people on here using?

I use the Kenu Airframe which fits my Galaxy as well as my wife's iPhone 5. It is solid, removable as well as secure despite its small size. It can hold a phone in landscape or portrait too.

As much as I like the look it interferes with the passenger side temperature control and my wife would not like that.

This looks like a really good option. Especially for the price. Thanks for the heads up. I have usedproclip mounts in my cars previously and don't like the options they have for the S6.

I considered the proclip that mounts on the A pillar because it gets the phone at eye level but it just wouldn't be practical at all having to use my left hand entirely. I also questioned the stability since it only clips on.

Wow, so glad I posted this question. Another great option. imagnet looks good also. I bought the Kenu Airframe, and I'll pick up one of these also to compare.

Check out the "smart mount". Works great, about $25 from target or Walmart. I use it on 3 different Note 3's in different vehicles, with otterbox covers, and they hold secure and are fast /strong/minimalist...

I followed the suggestions on here to get the iOttie magnetic mount. I am very happy with it and my passengers are always woo'd a bit by the magnetic functionality. It's sleek and keeps the phone readable and usable. Can't ask for much more than that!

+1 for the iOttie. I have two of them. Inconspicuous, easy to remove if needed, and works like a charm.

+1 on the Kuda. I have installed this in all of my cars, including my wifes car and my sons car, its perfect. I do not use the Kuda cradle, the foam bumpers are cheap and peel off. I use the Panavise cradle with the Panavise swivel mount if needed.

try the iottie, iTap Magnetic Vent Mount . Elegant, simple and effective. If you have multiple cars easy to switch.

I love the iOttie. I use it with my 6S Plus and it does a fantastic job. I like being able to just plop it on there without needing to clip anything in... magnets man.

Another one for the Kenu. I had so many people asking me about it that I handed it out as gifts this year. The bold above is one of the biggest things I like about it.

Brodit works great. There is fixed power version too.

I prefer version with mount plate on the right side of column then fan/vent one

a question for you guys using magnetic type... will it hold the phone securely when accelerating hard or going in sharp bend at higher speed?

Ordered one of these; Kenu-Airframe from a local distributor.

Tried for the Magnetic types, but Amazon will not ship to South Africa as our postal service is almost non-existent.

iOttie clips on to your vent so what about when the heat is on or AC????? Also you have to put a sticker on your phone to attach??? Can you put the sticker on a case instead of directly on the phone?

Check post #12 for another option. Comes with a very thin magnet (not sticker) that I place between the phone and case. I didn't want to block my vent either.

Yes, it clips to the vent. The mount comes with a thin metal plate that they want you to stick to your phone. I stuck it to the inside of the case and put the plastic sticker over it so it wouldn't scratch anything. Works great.

I like the position but not that it covers the vent the other mount is too high in the dash imho

I resurrected this post because I think putting anything on your vent isn't good. It looks like an after thought and prevents functionality of the car. This is why I posted the Steelie. It's about the same height of the MMI & Instruments, and even though you have to 'stick' it on there, I've had no issues removing it from one car to another (no residue). that said, pick your case, stick on the magnet and off you go. Don't like it on your phone, use a different case for other reasons.

My i6S fits there perfectly, and wifes Galaxy Note 4 with a case fits fine as well, the i6+ and the GN4 are the same size in case you have a i6+.

I use one of these. It fits conveniently in that big wide slot on the center console.

Don't really use that slot.

It blocks the SD card door though, but puts the phone in perfect position to use when resting your wrist on the shifter. It fits my Note 5 without issue. Works portrait or landscape. Easily removed if need be. Think it was like $10 on amazon.

Got them in both my Audis.

For those of you with the iOttie Magnetic mount it looks like they're now selling the backing plate kit. When I upgraded to my 6S Plus I got frustrated that the adhesive had worn off.
