intake manifold gasket - does it need to be replaced?

I'm going to manually clean the carbon buildup this weekend and will not have a new gasket in time. Is it ok to reuse the gasket assuming its not torn or damaged? The DIY I found didn't comment on the gasket and the only comment I could find was someone claiming the gasket was made from a liquid gasket maker.

    Thanks!

Always a good idea to replace gaskets while you're in there. However, you'll likely be ok reusing them if you clean them meticulously. Consider that the injectors will come off with the manifold; those have items you WILL want to replace. You know, do it right the first time or replace a bunch of crap later kind of deal.

Ive reused everything when i cleaned my intake valves at 61k+ miles. My injectors came off with the manifold except one. Inspected the retaining springs, clips and orings, manifold gasket and all were in good condition. Its been at least 1500 miles and i havent had any problems or ecl codes.

The intake has a rubber gasket. The liquid gasket comment might be referring to the valve cover gasket.

Go get a bead blaster and some walnut media from harbor freight and speed up those couple of days to a few hours. Going that route next time and it should make life a whole lot easier.
