P1913 (G294) Brake Pressure Sensor Short to Ground??????????????????????????????

I have done a hundred searches and I find nothing.

18321 - Pressure Sensor for brake Boost (G249)
    P1913 - 35 - 00 - Short to ground

Has anyone ever had this code? I am assuming this sensor sits on or next to the brake booster? Or is it internal to the ABS controller? Could this be related to a shitty accordian hose? Or could it be from the notorious brake light switch under the brake pedal? Just a blown fuse? I can't even find this part for sale on ECS, they have brake boost pressure sensors...for A4 and passat but not for B5 S4.

I just finished a stage3 install and I never had this code before the install. Figured I just forgot to plug something back in but I have gone over the engine 20 times and I cannot find any plugs or hoses not connected. But my accordian hose cracked during install so I electrical taped the crap out of it.

I'd like to know where to at least start looking for the problem so I have some clue what to look for or what needs to be replaced.

    Thanks for any help!

You tuner needs to write this out for you. The OEM base file they started with was from a vehicle that was equipped with a brake booster pressure sensor and electronic brake vacuum pump. Generally speaking, this is 2001.5+ B5's with Tiptronic Automatic transmission.

It seems your vehicle is not equipped with this equipment, so the software is not correct for your hardware. Contact the tuner. This is an easy fix. I watched Mike at VAST fix this in about 3 minutes flat.

In any case, I'm not sure this question warranted 30 (Thirty) question marks. Just one will do ya.

Haha. Just annoyed as hell. Will tone it down on my next post and only use 10 question marks.

This car is a TIP. I had my tuner make me a stage2 tune before and this code never came up. Sent ECU back for stage3 and now I have this code. Odd. I am going to double check the soft coding but I am pretty sure it did not change from the last time I sent it in.

    Thanks.

If he started with a different base tune (ie: he was not simply modifying tables in the existing stage 2 tune, but actually started with a new base tune), then whatever happened before has no bearing - the software is different now.

He is very likely quite aware of this issue and should be more than happy to fix it.

My tuner is looking into it. Thanks for this info man, seriously, I would have never figured this out. Have a great day!
