Tire size for 18x9 wheels / will they even fit?

I did some searching and it seems a lot of people either run 18x9.5 or 18x8.5 wheels but no one really seems to run 18x9 wheels. Would 18x9 wheels (et 48) fit on a b6 a4 without them sticking out too much/rubbing? If so, what tire size do you guys think I would need in order to run a wheel like that? Also, I'm running bilstein shocks and struts with H&R springs too so the car is fairly low. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes that will fit, quite inside the fender too (a good 24mm inside the fender), no need to worry about rubbing. I'd put a 225/40 on that wheel if you want a mild stretch, or a 235/40 if you don't want to stretch. You could even get a 245/40 on there if you really wanted to.

Thanks for the quick and thorough response. I'll keep all of that in mind.
