Some updates.

Just got back from MIVW show in Holland. Picked by a top 20 overall trophy.

Car is still static on H&R custom coilovers......it can go lower also

New wheels are on, Rotiform 3 Piece DUS



















Been working on the bay a bit more. Custom made the brace and also slam panel with a one off R8 oil cap and custom washer bottle for the washer cap





And finished off the rear seat carbon replacing all the plastics

Yes, strut brace is a one off piece based on a modified OEM one that has then been skinned in carbon with an added c6 carbon laser cut badge.

Test fitting the wheels.....with some custom chassis mods which allowed a lower than air ride height while still allowing travel, the car rode real nice and was under 26" ground to fender on the 22's

Not in the immediate future but I have got to the point where I am hitting the floor off the road so it would be a good idea. If I do ever switch over to air I will run the Accuair bags on my H&R's. My carbon man has a load of tanks in that he is skinning in carbon so I was just messing about.

We are doing some chassis work mid September though which will allow more drop but I simply don't have he ground clearance to get the full benefit from the mods on coilovers. When done though the car would be able to lay frame!

So after owning the car 2 years we are finally making progress on the chassis, the car has always sat air ride low but needed more comfort as it was close to riding bump stops so Paul at C6 Carbon worked his magic on the chassis to allow the car to go lower. There is no lower Q5/SQ5 in the world, the car now can tuck rim on 22's

Thought I would share with you my project. In the past I have had 2 S3's the latter being highly modified and collecting quite a few show awards.

So, I moved onto the SQ5 as I needed performance and economy and wanted something different from the norm.

I'll go more into the build soon but here are some pics

Gorgeous vehicle! Did you have the brushed aluminum side mirrors originally and have them blacked out? I did not get the Black-optic package and am having all the rails and window trim pieces blackened next week but am debating doing the side mirrors...yours look really nice in the matte black...thanks...

they were actually a dark matte bronze, the same colour as the wheels, and are now a matte grey anthracite, again to match the wheels.

Finally got the rear chassis sorted by Mr Carbon and some new shorter H&R rear dampers built by AH Exclusive in Germany, these are 3cm shorter than my already short ones. The OEM ones are huge!!!

Car now sits lower and rides so so good

Bit of an update

We converted the H&R coilovers to run bags and the car now is running Airlift 3P management

Full show air install built by me and the carbon by C6 Carbon.

Got round to making the custom illuminated C6 Carbon Airlift manifold top plate this weekend. Ill get a pic of the plate all fitted soon along with the rest of the air install illumination.






Got some other changes in the works for the trunk and also exterior. Cant wait to get this next batch of mods complete before I move back into the interior. The stockpile of parts is getting huge again!

Bit of an update to the build.....its constantly evolving!!

I picked up an RSQ5 front bumper from Xenons UK, this is a direct fit item, only needing a couple holes drilling for the inner parking sensors and brackets attaching for these sensors.

C6 Carbon then skinned me a crash bar, the grill surround, intake blades and lower lip.

The Grill's were also painted matte black.









Also had to split the wheels as my friend had an accident on the Euro Tunnel on his way to MIVW show. The centres are now a dark black bronze. The lips will be refinished over winter to a new colour.

Hard to pick out the bronze colour as they are really black (i used the same colour on my old Vossen's) but in the sun they change



Also had Paul at C6 Carbon get round to finishing off the lighting in the air install
