You have the older style blades. You can either buy them online, or at your local dealer. Some people have had luck with buying refills at their local parts stores, but its a PITA to do.

u cannot upgrade to aero blades without also buying the aero arms. youll need to exchange your blades for older style or buy aero arms

You're going into a guessing game and you're just gonna start throwing money around. In the ad it doesn't mention being compatible with an A4. Buy nice or buy twice. If you're not gonna upgrade to the Aero arms then pick up a set of OEM blades from the dealer. There's also another option that people have gotten rid of the clips on the stock wiper arms and put a bolt and nut combo to bolt on Rain-X blades. There's not really a write up on how to do it but here's some information on it. Click

at this point I'll glue them on, just thought 99.5-05 VW Jetta Golf would be interchangeable, would have been great mod but my wiper arm looks nothing like the one in the mod.

Post pictures of your wiper arms and you'll probably get more help with what to look for. So you're saying your wiper arms don't look like the ones in the link I posted and also the Aero blades don't fit on the arms you have?

You have the older style like I said. That's how mine work...you lift the clip up and the blade falls off.

Just buy the 7 dollar refills from the part store. Takes two minutes per blade to change.

    Keep it simple.

Yep got my refills, Trico 47- 700 I believe. I had to trim mine a bit, so maybe go for the 600. It is really easy to put them in. take the whole assembly apart put new blades in and snap the top piece back in. Like 03a4 said, takes 2-3 minutes.

Edit: cost me $10 at Orileys.

This is the type of info these threads need. I knew it was possible to just use the rubber refills but have no idea with ones to pick up. I need to do this with my car soon. My blades are fine for now but will need some different ones soon.

The old-style OE wipers are Bosch "Twin 909", Bosch p/n 3 397 001 909, sold as a set of 2. 25 bucks on Amazon. Probably cheaper than the dealership. You may also be able to find them at a local Carquest or similar parts store, but I don't think Advance/O'Reilly/etc carry them. The package lists them as compatible with:

    Audi
    A4 [8E2; B6] 03.01-11.03
    A4 Avant [8D5; B5; 8E5; B6] 12.00-10.03
    A4 Cabriolet [8H7; B6] 04.02-11.03
    Cabriolet [8G7; B4] 05.97-06.00

    and nothing else.

The tricos. Had to trim like a 1/4" off with a set of dykes but at 7 bucks for a pair vs 30-50. Well worth the slightly extra work.

If you're talking about the clip that actually holds the wiper blade on then yes, it's replaceable. Probably a couple dollars at the local dealership.
