Did anyone have spectra photosync tint installed? This tint is very impressive as for TSER and VLT.

I actually talked to their director of sales back in june of last year and he referred me to a dealer in Scottsdale, however things came up and i never actually acted on it. For everything it cost about $600. I might do it this year since i think it's going to be brutal in the summer.

Look at the spectral transmissivity on the second page of that PDF spec sheet. That film strongly cuts down optical transmission in the range of 600 to 800 nanometers (nm). That is the range of visible light extending from yellow through orange and into red. In plain english, this means that blues and greens will appear stronger than untreated glass. I believe this is the case with all window tint films that are trying to cutoff infrared (IR) to reduce cabin heating, but it's something worth thinking about.

Premier Mobile Group in CA uses this religiously. They are probably THE best clear bra/tint installers you will ever find.

I don't think that they have a lot of dealers which is why you won't hear a lot of feedback. But Premier does Bugattis/Lambos/Ferraris/911s like no one else, and most of them get this. The heat rejection is the best you will find without going ceramic. Plus, their 65% PhotoSync outperforms a 30% ceramic as far as heat rejection goes.

Prestige also makes ClearGuardX which is one of the- if not the best, paint protection films available. You're in good hands with any of their products.

i have spectra photosync 75 on the s4.

i had llumar blue 80 before the photosync. the heat rejection is definitely better, but i wish i had gone a little darker (i find myself putting my sunglasses on more than when i had llumar), even though only 5% difference.

will take some pictures later, but the 75 isnt very noticeable.

    Thanks.

I had Huper Optik Drei (which is a metallic tint) on my S4 ( no Navi) and had zero issues as for cell phone and sat radio reception.
My new car will have navi so I do not want to risk any possible interferences.
HO Drei was great as for heat rejection ( 70% TSER at 35% VLT). At the same time it was very durable. I had HO Drei on mu 2007 Acura TSX for 5 years . Small kids in the back seat touching windows all the time and no issue with scratches.
Since I am in Arizona I am thinking about Photosync 35% VLT which has max TSER 79% not being a metallic tint.
I still have time to decide since my 2014 Monsoon Gray S4 ( 6 speed MT ) is being built.

I have this tint and I love the film. The challenge is the installer in the Bay Area (Fremont), they don't stand by their products. They make you jump through hoops to get replacement if there is an issue with the install. I had a major issue with the tint, white heat blotches which were painfully obvious. I scheduled an appointment to get it redone with a 3 week wait time on scheduling, I get there to find out there were no installers onsite. They want to see the issue first (read = you wait 3 weeks) before they honor any warranty. Basically, you as the customer aren't right. They decide if they are going to replace the tint without regard to your travel time or personal time for their check. After spending this much money and have two cars done there, I would pass on this place because you don't get premium support/coverage for a premium product. There are better tint shops in the bay area, pass on them. They have lost this customer for life.

I just had 3m Crystalline installed on saturday which seems like the same type of nanofilm. I was very impressed on the drive home in direct sunlight - you cannot feel the suns warmth/heat on your skin with the tint. Really impressive/amazing stuff so far.
the side benefit of 3m is - all 3m authorized dealers are factory trained and the warranty is honored at any 3m authorized dealer

Does this tint have a blue-ish tint to it, especially at the higher transparencies? How does it compare to something like the 3M Crystalline in terms of the blue color?

i have 75. you really cant tell its there, but the heat rejection is much better than llumar blue 80. i wish i went darker than 75 though. you can tell the tint is there from the interior picture (cut out around sticker).

    Hi Jauri,
    Thanks for the pictures.
The film on the windshield looks very clear ( nice).
How would you compare scratch resistance of this film to 3M crystalline or Huper optic?
    How much did you pay?
I am still debating between spectra photosync and 3M cristalline .

I've had 3m cristalline and huper before and my skin tells me photosync works better. It's also crystal clear day or night for the front so I cannot tell anything is there. I had Premier in Fremont put it on 3 cars and I love it.
