    8 Speed Tiptronic Fluid Change

I have 78000 miles on my 2011 B8 P+ with the 8 speed Tiptronic Transmission. I have started doing all of my own maintenance and the next item on the list is to change the fluids on the differentials and the transmission.

I saw that ECS has a kit that supplies everything you need to do this. Question is should I drop the transmission pan and change the filter and fluid, or just change the fluid? Also, are there any DIY's on this process already that I missed in the search?

There is a VERY special procedure to change the transmission oil.

I would make sure the fluid you replace is either the OEM fluid or BG which is the type 3Zero3 in Denver did for mine last summer. With as many miles as you have you certainly could use the filter changed as well. Might be worth leaving to a shop you can hold accountable in case you mess something up?
