Well they are sold by ecs, I dont think ECS would risk their name and reputation by selling a junk wheel. I have seen good reviews, they are durable wheels and are ISO 9001 certified, though they may be on the heavier side.

If your no wheel whore, or if you want a 2nd set of wheels you really cant beat the price.

Thats what im afraid of, here in Mexico the city streets are not that good, wanted some 19s but thats out of the question, so Im going for 18s and saw the alzor wheels on ECS and with that tag price is a great bargain

I have them as winter wheels. Not bad wheels for the price, good quality. Ran over some small pot holes that were covered with snow, held up pretty good. No issues with them.

Don't look bad in pictures either.
Edit: Even though car was dirty in the picture.

ISO 9001 IS NOT A WHEEL CERTIFICATION, it is an organization cert, it only says the wheels are made in a factory that is organized enough to avoid going out of business... it says nothing about the quality of the wheel.

ISO 9001 is a quality management system certification. It doesn't mean they are just organized enough to stay in business.... it shows the company...
    - demonstrates its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and
    - aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

While it's not a direct wheel standard, it means they are manufacturing and inspecting to written procedures and predetermined specifications. I work in the medical device industry and we have to comply with ISO 13485 (basically extended version of ISO 9001)

I know what the certification actually says and what it means in the real world. I am an engineer and work with many companies that hold ISO 9001 certifications but it does not mean their quality is necessarily up to snuff.

Correct, but the entire line of alloy wheels from Alzor are inspected and go through rigorous quality control and durability testing. Wheels come with a TÜV Rheinlan approval, and the wheels themselves are stamped with the familiar JWL and VIA stamps. The JWL and VIA certifications are performed by the Japanese Government to ensure the safety of aftermarket alloy wheels through extensive testing. Alzor wheels meet or exceed these standards to ensure quality and safety on the road.

Potholes are another story. Majority of wheels will either bend or break if you hit a big enough pothole. I've known people who have destroyed forged wheels because of potholes so its always best to avoid them when possible. No wheel is indestructible, especially with freezing cold temps and lower profile tires.

Depends which OEM wheel and which Alzor you are referring to. Some of our Alzors will accept an OEM center cap but not all of them.

How about 18" Style 627 Wheels? OEM center Caps works with them? Dunno if I need to order OEM caps or just audi sticker and out it on top of Alzor cap...

No OEM center cap confirmed that fits for this wheel. Chances are you'll need to use a vinyl sticker.

An older thread, but I thought I'd chime in anyway... I also just got a set of 18s alzor's from ECS to use as my winter set. They're definitely a heavy wheel, but feel very strong. So far I have zero complaints, they look good and seem to be performing just fine.
And yes, neither the standard 58, 60 or 65mm center caps fit. It seems like the Alzor center caps are right around 62-63mm. So I ended up buying an audi sticker set that will go on top of the alzor caps.

I have a set. I was skeptical at first but they're actually pretty good wheels.
the weight is not bad. I'd be curious to see what tires some are running who make that
argument. if you run, run flats for example well then yeah...they're heavy as shit.

My gf06 wheels would not accept any oem audi center caps. So if you have fitment issues, you can take some emblem glue and put a couple of dabs on the center caps and should stay on. I had no problems but can be a hassle when changing tires I guess because you have to glue them again I assume.

I bought a set of the 18" rotor style Alzor's off of an AZ member to use as my winters and I couldn't be happier. I bought them as winters since they're affordable and very durable but I might end up rocking them year round. Now I just have to find hubcentric spacers that don't cause steering vibrations.

I use H&R's 20/25 (also from ECS), with the Alzors. Zero vibrations. Feels EXACTLY like im on stock wheels without spacers. The offset on the Alzors is pretty shitty so the larger spacers are better. I will probably use smaller spacers for the stock 19's for the summer.

They do have different offsets you can buy so you don't have to use such large spacers. I'm running 18x8 et 35 with a 5mm spacer in the rear.

    Hey ECS,

While we're on this topic - Can you post the weight per wheel for 19" Style 628 gunmetal 2724024?
    I believe the 18" was listed as 30lbs.... http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...or-Audi-66-6cb!!

Any chance of bringing back the 620 in 19" ?? :)

Hmm. Jason says: Our Alzor's weigh 25.05 lb each (18X8in) http://www.audizine.com/forum/archiv.../t-508280.html
He was also the source of the 30lb figure as above...

25.05 figure is certainly more precise and I would like to believe it... where did 30lbs come from??

Also, don't want to overshadow my main question about the 628 19x8.5" weight.

    Thanks

30lbs was a misweigh. I believe that was the shipping weight not the actual wheel weight. All apologies. 25lbs is the correct for the 18in wheel. 26lbs is the weight of the 19in 628.

We should have 620's available in many new sizes in a few months. ;) Keep checking the site for updates!

i have a set of the peeler reps for a winter setup 18x8. They really are good quality. Unfortunately, i only received 2 ALZOR center caps for 4 wheels. I didnt complain because i plan on getting Audi caps anyways.

Look great, feel great, and priced great. Cant beat it in my opinion.

Now for a summer/aggressive setup, i might think of something else.

We should have 620's available in many new sizes in a few months. ;) Keep checking the site for updates!
