There's lots of comments about how great the Super Sports handle, but HOW IS THE RIDE in terms of comfort and noise level? Please include your tire size and suspension (sport or standard). Thanks.

When I switched from Eagle F1's to them on my Boxster it was like a new car. Better ride, handling and quite. The Eagles were only 5K old btw.

I love mine and noticed a big diff in noise. I posted about it somewhere. I will also say though that it is VERY bad to judge old worn tires to new ones. New ANYTHING will be far quieter as they have not worn improperly.

Proper inflation, checking inflation often and proper alignment are KEY. My PSS's have been slightly over inflated and I did not fix it soon enough. Now they are scrubbed a little funny and have a hum. It is not bad, but even though I have corrected it they are getting a little worse.

I love them though. Great in the wet, even better in the dry, nice ride, and last a shockingly long time for what they are (super soft tires, close to R compound). That all said, as a street car they are WAY overkill. Even the best drivers cannot/should not get near their grip limits on the street. So I would say unless your car does multiple track days a year, step down. I probably will be. If you do multiple track days a year, get a second set of wheels with R compound tires. Just my 2 cents, and remember you did not pay for it.

I switched from Pirelli P-Zero Neros (crap) to Michelin PSS and found them to be excellent for sound, comfort and grip in the dry. However, living in the PacNW as I do, they didn't do well on spirited corners in the rain. So I'm running the PSS A/S rubber for my DD and they are amazing! Tons of grip, very quiet and a nice ride. They have also been rebuilt in this model since the earlier A/S did have some tread life/wear issues. I think these are excellent and worth the $$$. I got them at Discount Tire for a steal.

Standard suspension 17". I have about 15k miles on my PSS, so far they have stayed relatively quiet. I do notice that these tires tramline more than the OEM P6's and Hankook V12's.

Overall I am quite happy with the treadwear, noise, and stiffness of the tire.

stock set-up on 17in rims. grip limit feels much higher, road noise and road imperfections are more noticeable. my gas mileage took a small hit (10%?) compared to my stock Eagles, but i think it's a small price to pay to know that if something bad happens on the road, my grip wasn't the reason i couldn't keep the car away from danger.

The PSS side walls are stiff so they ride stiffer than the factory Pirellis. They are quiet for a max performance tire but road noise is still noticeable. Small price to pay for the performance gain in handling. Good daily driver that will not disappoint at the track.
