RS5 style foglight cover / grill for S5?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am changing my 2011 S5 Grill to the RS5 style grill. I would like the foglight covers to match. Does anyone know where I can get a grill cover to match the mesh of the grill.

I am attaching a picture to give everyone and idea for what I am looking for. Black rings instead of chrome would be ideal.

This picture is from another model (I think A4). Will other models (e A4) work in the S5?

I got an OEM from Tag Motorsports in Visa, CA. It was pretty expensive at $1200 bucks or so, but I was not too sure about the "replica" ones as they seem to be "less substantial" in look and actual substance as the OEM

Now back to my original post......ha ha

No, fog covers from other models will not fit. Someone needs to make these as there would be many members interested. I've yet to find an RS variant for the A5 S-Line/S5.

Hey bud, if you got yourself a OEM RS5 front bumper for your S5, it won't fit!

The RS5 is slightly wider than the S5 in both the front and rear bumper areas due to the wheel arches being flared more. It's not immediately noticeable, but compare a RS5 next to a S5 and you'll see.

Some folks here have however got the RS5 front and rear bumper to fit with some minor body work though, so just be aware mate!

My S5 ones have the slats but not the mesh. The are solid. The ones pictured are indeed awesome. Will they fit in a 2011 S5 and if so where can I get them???

These are custom for sure. Looks like they dremeled the inside portions and left the horizontal bars then added the mesh behind it with an epoxy or adhesive. You can tell its custom just by the size of the mesh. I saw someone doing this a while back but they were having problems getting the right size mesh to match the RS5 grill. Pretty much just buy extra fog covers, some mesh off fleabay, and some work on your end.

And facelit for good measure. Too bad it won't fit with my RS5 grill that's on the way. So shiny. Unless there's some way to remove/delete fog lights without causing an error.

I did extensive research on this subject late last year and could not find a SINGLE manufacturer that makes these for the B8 S5 (or A5 S line for that matter). I have seen several on different posts and blogs but they were all custom jobs. I ended up buying a set of foglight fixtures and asked a friend of mine to look into cutting them and placing a mesh in the back (as the photo from above shows), he told me it would be quite difficult and costly to do it right, so I just gave up. Would I consider removing the fog lights? Maybe, if I can find one mesh type fixture that fits on my 2010 S5. Now if anyone is willing to "custom" make these for a reasonable price…..Count me in!!!
You can't make everyone happy.....but you sure can try!!

Been working on mine for a couple of months now in my spare time. Just about done, need to do some final prep and paint. I will post pics when they are on the car. FTR, I bought some custom mesh that matched the RS5 grille from LLTek but I found it a little difficult to work with and because the mesh was larger, I couldn't get it to fit the opening without issues (have a couple extra pcs. if anyone is adventurous). Anyway, I ended up using some smaller metal powder coated mesh that customcargrills supplied me and it looks pretty good all in all. Weather is getting nicer so that I can paint : )

So, I take it nobody yet manufactures these. Too bad. I just got the RS5 grille onto my S5 and I'm dying to match the fog light inserts too.

I'm not sure if these were what you were looking for, but found this:

    http://www.customcargrills.com/Audi-Car-Grills.asp

It's pretty pricey in my opinion, but it can be a DIY project....
