I'd go with 3M personally (find it very easy to work with and very durable).

I used something from Pep Boys. I only did one side due to time. This weekend I'm going to plasti dip the passenger side, but do the weather stripping and chrome colored trim. I've already done the pillar trim pieces. The adhesives proved to be a total PITA. It doesn't look as clean as I want. In addition, the weather stripping is a slightly different shade.

Originally I plasti-dipped only the chrome and that was a complete mess.

I did mine with shadow line gloss, on the stock rubber trim (P- model).
For 30 bucks or so for a 3" roll, you get a ton of material.
I screwed up a couple times but still had more than enough.

Trickiest part is trimming, and also wrapping around edges.
I screwed up a few times doing this (especially trimming, because I was so careful not to scratch the car).
I ended up pre-cutting strips that is the EXACT width of the trim... lol this was tedious and took a loooong time but it was worth it.
I love the gloss now, as to the dull/fading stock rubber look.

    Go with 3M.
If I knew a vendor that sells a small roll like shadow line does, I would have went with them.
Shadow line's package and price just fit my needs, but product wise, 3M is obviously superior.

I used some of the trimbrite on BirdmanQ5's S4 grille, it actually came out way better than expected and was incredibly easy to use, just not forgiving if the surface has ANY dirt on it. It is for sure cheaper than 3m, but for sure not as thick and in my opinion less durable, but easier to apply for someone who does not have a lot of experience wrapping. So there are trade offs to both. I also don't know if the trimbrite comes in glossy black.

Trimbrite can be found at pretty much any auto parts store like Autozone should have it. What is nice about the Trimbrite is that it is already cut into long strips, making the process a lot easier as you don't have to measure out/cut vinyl.

I am not sure if 3m even makes a window trim cut to spec so you would probably have to do that yourself, but if you got a 12"x60" sheet of the 3M 1080 Vinyl Wrap in either gloss or matte depending on the look you are going for, you should be able to do the cuts with some material to spare. That can be found on eBay.

I got huge sheets for mine, and cut the contours into the vinyl, which helped with wrapping because I didn't have to stretch the vinyl as much.

I agree. I used 3m and its great. Wipe down with rubbing alcohol on a rag, get xacto knife and a hair dryer (corners) and go. Expect to fuc* up a few times if its your first attemp. My car look virtually perfect.

When you guys wrapped the trip. Did you do the entire chrome trim with the doors open, or just the visible part when the doors are closed.

I did it with doors open so I got it all. . love the idea of big sheets and cutting approx shape. that would make corners way easier.

Ok, just fyi to all, don't buy shadowline.
I went into a touchless wash yesterday, and that powerful water jet spray actually ripped a few spots on the trim wrap (the curvature section, not the horizontal ones).
    What a cheap p.o.s material.

I just want to chime in here and reaffirm how much shadowline really does suck giant donkey balls. I would rather wrap my trim with electrical tape than ever try to use that shit again. I got conned into buyig it by some of the less informed members in the C6 section last year.

Use 3m 1080 vinyl or Avery supreme vinyl.

3m 1080: a lil thicker, slightly more time consuming to work with. Gloss black, matte black, satin black, pearl black.
Avery supreme: thinner easier to bend and tuck into cracks and crevasses. Gloss black, matte black.

U can buy both online all over the place. eBay, sticker city, Avs, metrorestyling, fellers, etc...

Funny you mention electrical tape.....It works pretty well as it is very workable. I used it on my grill. It can work itself lose in tight corners though. Covered chrome ring on my BBS CH and dealer was amazed. Was a perfect match.

and what size if i were to go with the 1080 film would be best without seems. is the 60" x 24" enough? by splitting it in quarters and then do the top and bottom sections.
