So my car was egged. Pics

I am visiting my family in Orange County for the holidays from Vegas. Just happens that my car gets egged yesterday (the day after my birthday) awesome. I was wondering if it happened to any other nice cars so I drove the neighborhood to find a brand new 370z nismo white with gunmetal wheels egged as well.

He told me his ex had egged his car and his neighbors as well so my guess is I got the wrath of a she devil. Only if I caught her doing it (in my dreams) since I walked out to head to my hotel to discover fresh eggs about 8 smashed on my car.

Now double check to make sure that you don't have paint damage. I remember when I was younger and living in NYC, my parents' car got egged and saw a bunch of circular cracks

    Brother - terrible!

Once you have time to really inspect your paint I'm betting you will see that the egg shells scratched your paint. When eggs essentially "explode" on contact when being thrown at your car, they shatter into the paint causing terrible damage that can't be buffed out... I had an egg thrown at my car last summer, it broke on my hood and I have permanent scratches... I'm lucky it was not a direct hit and was glancing so the scratches are minor... but they are there and can't be buffed out. Inspect your paint in the light of day...

File a police report for sure - see if that guy can call his ex, record the call, and tell her she egged an innocent person's car to see if she will admit to it. She probably doesn't realize the damage an egg can do to a car!

Why not paintballs? I play paintball and my car gets shot at least once every time I play. Paintballs are water soluble and biodegradable. I've even left it for 3 days before washing it and it still came off and didn't leave any evidence.

Yeah I immediately filed a report and there was damage on my driver door. He wanted to talk me out of filing but I reminded him that painting a car is not cheap. His vin was notated in my report so I'm going to find out if they will question her.

He's not talking about the paint specifically he's talking about the impact from the paintball damaging the door skin.

I'd stay the hell away from that biatch! If she's that immature to egg not only her ex's car but any other car nearby, I would not want to learn what other kind of stalker habits she has. That being said - I hope something she cares about gets taken from her or damaged for no good reason - karma's a bitch and I totally believe in it.

Anyone that eggs, or worse yet, keys a car, should be beaten with a bat.

Wow man what a shame. My M5 got egged a few years back and had to head straight to a 24hr car wash. People are just flat out stupid and clearly have nothing better to do with their lives. Hope everything is alright.

I had my GTI egged the day before I got my S4. It was single digits outside and it froze right away. I was lucky most of it froze on the windows so it wasn't a big deal.

Good luck OP hopefully you have no issues with your paint.

lol paintballs are weak. They're not going to hurt anyone or anything as long as you play on a good field that enforces the 300fps rule. Eggs leave a residue and the shell is much harder than a soft (like rubber, similar to a plastic sandwich baggie) paintball shell.

Back on topic, the guy admitted it was his gf but I guess that wouldn't make him responsible unless they were married... I'd track down the ex, get her license plate and then file a claim with the insurance company. Maybe they can scare her into admitting guilt.

If nothing, at least return the favor+interest, stealthy of course.

..Or if it's a common occurrence, next time park right beside his car and pull an ol fashion stake-out with a video camera?

If this was really his ex that did it, it's probably a thing where she's hitting all cars she thinks could possibly be owned by him. Hit yours and hit the other thinking he tried to get smart and park down the street. I'd do a stakeout next weekend if I were you. Go park in the same spot and either get into someone else's parked car a bit down the street and wait on it or go in your friend's house and spot the street for a while. When you see who does it, catch them, detain, and get them arrested for vandalism and destruction of private property. No mercy!

Well luckily the detailer was able to get all the fine scratches out and there was no major damage all in all. The clay job and detail cost me 150 but well worth it to know my babies okay. I am leaving tomorrow so I don't have the option of catching her in the act.

That sucks about the eggs. Glad you were able to get it washed off quickly.

With the help of Nismo, find out where that girl lives and pour sugar into her gas tank.

Agree. The guy who owned my 996 911 before me had an egg thrown at it, and it left very characteristic circular paint chips.
The car's moved on now, but here's a picture of another car with egg paint damage:

Never heard of the bologna thing before - apparently preservatives in it will remove paint ...
