Dtm front bumper kit from ECS

hello everyone i drive an 06 Audi a4 s-line and i'm getting ready to order the DTM front bumper kit and DTM rear bumper from ECS tuning, but i just have a quick question. On the website there's two different kits available one says none S-line ES#:1928184 for $1,179.86 and one for S-line only ES#:1928188 for $1,511.47, but when i read the description it says the S-line kit comes with head light washers and the none S-line kit does not say, since my car doesn't have any head light washers, would i be okay with the none S-line kit? and also the rear bumper is just the bumper cover i shouldn't need anything else right? anyone on here have experience doing the conversion buying the kit from ecs tuning? i tried searching and came across a few thread on people piecing together the kit them self but it was a little confusing to me so i rather just buy the complete kit and let the body shop deal with it thanks.

WHAT??????? why would you buy a $1500 bumper!! DTM bumpers costs like $700 at GAP or even at the dealer probably. Check out prestige bumpers they might have one.

I think that quote is for both front and rear.

Also, S-Line and Non S line are the bumpers so I don't understand why they have DTM "S Line" kit. That doesn't make sense.

yea i diddnt understand what they meant by S line and none S line, i did check out genuineaudiparts but i diddnt see the DTM bumper just S4 base
and the drawing it shows looks like a None S line bumper lol maybe i should give a call to the dealer tomorrow see if i can get it cheaper from them

i think what they mean by the s-line or not s-line is because the grille from a non s-line wont fit a grille for an s-line. im not 100% on that but when i was looking for my rs4 style grille i remember reading something along the lines of that

thats what i thought at first, but at the end of the description on both kits it says "please pick out a none S-line center grill to complete the pakage" on there web site they do have just the bumper cover for $609.95 but it doesnt come with the washer caps tow hook cover or side grill, im asuming thats pretty much all i need including the center grill

alright so i checked ECS tuning again and it looks like they do not have the bumper in stock and i would have to wait until Feb. 22 before they can ship it, i did how ever check out GenuineAudiParts.com but im having trouble understanding the site, i clicked on 2006 audi S4 front bumper & components 2 diagram shows up, one looks to be a none S-line bumper and the description says "bumper cover A4 & S4 W/O AIR INTAKE, w/headlamp washer, w/headlamp washer"


and the other what looks to be the DTM but all it says on the description is "bumper cover S4 W/AIR INTAKE" i think thats it??

I'm with everyone else man. Go with GAP or go straight to the dealer for the DTM. ECS's mark up is bad enough, and that's not even looking at the shipping yet! I try to avoid them if I can because their shipping rates can be constituted as RAPE. Knowing ECS it'll probably cost you $2k to ship the damn thing.

how much u think id be spening to get everything i need for the dtm converion? front bumper and rear bumper? i dont have a pick up truck but i might be able to use my sister highlander lol

okay guys so i went to the dealler and i order all the parts for the DTM converion ill list all the parts and price on the bottom 06 a4 S-line to usdm DTM bumper converion

FRONT BUMPER

REAR BUMPER

Front bumper i order the following:
#1_bumper cover S4 W/AIR INTAKE = $514.50
#14_side trim S4 W/AIR INTAKE Left = $61.50
#14_side trim S4 W/AIR INTAKE RIGHT = $61.50
#8_cap S4 W/AIR INTAKE Left = $37.50
#8_cap S4 W/AIR INTAKE right = $37.50
#4_lower grille S4 W/AIR INTAKE Left = $92.25

TOTAL came to $897.00
still cheaper then ECS plus no shipping fee, lucky for me one of the guys from the body shop has a non S-line grill in great shape laying around so i get that for free!

REAR BUMPER I order the following:
#1_bumper cover S4 W/AIR INTAKE = $546.50
#7_impact bar S4 W/AIR INTAKE = $294.97
#4_spoiler S4 W/AIR INTAKE, 4.2 liter = $100.50
TOTAL $941.97
not sure if i'm going to need the impact bar but the guy that works at the dealer says mine wont work but we'll see if my existing one does work i can just send the new one back and save some money also for the rear bumper i thought the rear valance and the bumper is one piece like the European one, All prices was at discount ordering through the the body shops account lol

total for the front and rear came up to $1,838.97 i hope i got everything

thanks kristokes i hope i order the DTM rear, if not then ill have to send it back, and use the part number u listed, i ask the guy at the dealer if there was any trim piece for the rear bumper all he mention was the "lower spoiler" wich i assumed he was talking about the lower valance and the molding that sits between the trunk and the bumper, i had a feeling something wasnt right i should of search and pulled the part numbers b4 i order

The lower valence is part of the rear cover, and not separate. The only thing separate you'll need are the two trim pieces on either side of the cover.

FWIW.... I have also been pricing this kit for a purchase... hopefully soon. GAP came out cheaper AND you don't pay sales tax from what I can tell. Total on GAP was roughly $2421.08 WITHOUT shipping versus $2448.25 + tax at dealer (at employee price). This includes the CF Lip spoiler (Cost of $830 at GAP and $870.38 at dealer).

Does not exist. All DTM bumpers use non-S line grilles and I think they might all have the headlight washers.

it comes Prime, you could just take it to the body shop and have them paint it and install it your self

Super jelly man. Wish I could get all that body work done on mine. Nothing drives me crazier than the little scratches, nicks, dents/door dings. You can't see them from 5-10ft away, but when you get close it shows. I'd love to get mine back to pristine condition. Post pics when finished! DTM FTW!

yea, mine was bad lol rock pits, big deep scratches, door dings, i die a little inside everytime i wash my car, and everytime people check out my car in the back of my head im like "damn those scratches" lol
