What kind of pedals do you have?

Practically stalled my car tonight when my slippery foot slipped off the clutch pedal and it got me thinking of finally getting aftermarket pedals. I had always planned on getting some but never really got around to it. What are y'all rockin?

The AWE petals are what I am considering, mainly for the look. The price is right too...

My main worry is what you just described, they will be slippery when wet haha.

SRP Racing. Same company that makes the pedals for JHM. They did a Group Buy on them couple years back and I scooped mine up back then. Check out their selections:

Which SRP pedals did you get? I remember there being information on which patterns had the best wet/dry grip but I can't find it

SRP pedals are the shit. I had a set of black and silver grid patterns on one of my S4s and they were fantastic. Grippy even when wet and they looked awesome too.

I wear boots like all the time (Wallabees and Hush Puppies are the only other shoes I wear), so I just went with the machined satin with foot rest. But that choice was based solely on my footwear preference. If I did wear sneakers, I would have gone with the grid.

Biting the bullet on SRP grid black/recountersunk with deadpedal. With audizine discount (still works from that thread in 2009) they'll only be just under $50 more than AWEs. And they look way hot.

Be aware that the black anodized area will fade over time from your foot.

I have the ASP pedals. The stupid little rubber pieces that cover the bolt holes like to fall off. Otherwise I really like em. I'd buy the AWE ones simply for the price. That has to be one of the best value items you can buy for an S4.

If money was no concern...SRP. I have driven a car with them and they are tits.

*edit...it actually looks like they dropped the price of the SRP's by a lot! Damn!

AWE but the black rubber things always fall out and then become slippery when wet thinking of getting the SRP grids also

This! Just add some glue when you first install to help from them falling out.

I have AWE pedals and haven't had issues with the nubs coming off... From what I recall, that happened before they redesigned them a few years back. I have gunmetal which was one of their newer color offerings with the revisions.

SRP look nice though, that will be a nice upgrade

Metal pedals will be more slick then the stock pedals.

I have the awe pedals with the little rubber inserts EVERYWHERE and they are still more slick then OEM.

So if you are looking for your foot to have more grip, aftermarket pedals are the last thing you want.

Incorrect sir. The SRP ones are significantly grippier than stock (or AWE) if you get them with the grid pattern. Can't speak for the other types, but metal grid > stock.

Here's a thought, just put grip tape on the stock pedals and save yourself an hour of work and whatever the pedals cost. I've seen race car pedals, none of them look like they came off the shelf of an autozone.

The only reason I haven't upgraded my pedals is because I drive barefoot frequently during the summer months. I do like the SRP grid pattern, but it looks like the brake and clutch pedal still have spikes.

There is a German company (can't remember the name) that was selling a set for our cars that looked really nice but pricey.

All of those setups are really nice. Is there really a problem with slippage on the pedals? I've been rocking stock since day 1. Hrm.
