I can fill up in one week and still have to fill up during the same week and I don't drive a lot (I have also replaced my fuel filter if anyone ask AND I've had my fuel pump test and its reading the correct pressure). While driving sometimes the car feels like it cuts off power (theres been been times where I hear the turbo kick in but no sort of response at all..the car just seems to accelerate at the same rate) and at the times if I floor it the car will delay for like 3-4 seconds and then I'll hear the engine rev up really loud and then I'll get some sort of significant acceleration. I've also noticed that during acceleration if I take my foot of the pedal the RPM meter will continue rising by itself for like 3 seconds and then begin to decrease. AND when I am slowing down it does the opposite were the RPM needle will be decreasing and then at around 1500 RPM will shoot up to around 2500 and then continue to decrease. Now I know I'm not crazy (or am I) but these aren't the signs of a normal/healthy Audi A4.
Try resetting your throttle.. and the RPMs going back up to 2500 from 1500 is just your car downshifting, I'm assuming you have an automatic..
"Manual throttle body adaptation:
"The Throttle is "Drive By Wire" and adapts to your particular driving style. Do a TBA Throttle body adaption).
1. Get in your car, it doesn't matter if you close the door or not.
2. Turn the key to the on position, the position just before the starter turns over.
3. Press the gas pedal to the floor with the key in the "on" position.
4. Hold the pedal to the floor for five seconds, then turn the key back to the "off" position(don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
5. Wait 2 mins. for a full alignment. During this time you may hear very faint noises and clicks. I
only heard one sitting in my car, if I got out and popped the hood I might hear more.
6. Drive the car as you always do.
Depending on your driving style, this may or may not be a big factor. I do a lot of city driving so
I noticed a big change after erasing my history. It is not hard to do this, just follow the
instructions - Key on, pedal down, 5 sec, key off pedal up, wait 2 minutes.
Keep the key in for the entire thing. "
