I had my 2013 A7 in for repairs this past week and now my Vag-com changes will not work.
I downloaded the latest software, 19.6, and connected ok.
It looks like my mods were still there, needle sweep for instance, but it does not work.
Pretty disgusted with the dealer here.

Any thoughts?

UPDATE:
The error message I was getting said Unable to find .ROD file.
So, since I had just updated the software to version 19.6 I uninstalled it and reloaded 18.9.
And all is well. I was able to make changes and save and they actually work again.

The Ross-Tech software is not compatible with certain cables, per their page.
I have a HEX+CAN and it did not work with the new version.

I lost all mine when they updated the MMI for me. But I just reactivated everything again via obdeleven.

How do I get this setting working on OBDEleven? Otherwise I'll have to wait until I see my friend again with the VCDS cable. On OBDEleven I go to 13 and click adaptation but then what?

Change the Adaptive Cruise Control Preset distance
[Select]
[13 Distance Regulation]
[Adaptation - 10] --> channel 7
Change from 0 to 1
Reboot MMI

Will now have an option in your MMI under Car --> Driver assistance --> Adaptive Cruise Control to set which of the 4 preset distances your car will default to when you activate your ACC.

EDIT: This is what I see going step-by-step:

I picked the third one down and it was already set to "yes." Am I supposed to see something else or do something different? Car is a C7.5 (2018 RS7 Performance)

It doesn't give a measured numerical value for the distances. In the DIS it just shows 2 cars and lines in between them as a representation of setting selection.

I find that very curious, I also have HEX+CAN and I'm using 19.6.2 with no issues whatsoever. Also, Ross tech website shows hex+can works with 19.6.... Not sure what you read... But it clearly shows compatible here

Sounds like you might have a fake cable. I think they only work with version 18.9

Yes, you got the correct coding in OBDEleven. Here are images of both on a C7.5

Im still new to this so might be a silly question, But can you use the VAGCOM to code in the Genuine Towbar wiring kit.
I brought a used A6 that doesn't have a towbar. I want to fit one to it, But don't have a dealer within 4 hours of me.

There is a setting in VCDS for towing installed... Not sure that's all you need though.

It's not a white bulb. It's an LED and it color changes to orange when the blinker is on vs running.

My apologies. I misinterpreted what you were asking. I have the LED headlights on my 2018... They function the same as yours. It *might* be possible if someone breaks down all the coding (Like was done for rears) for them and we can sort it out. It also change by year and location... for more fun!

Hey, yesterday was fidling whit OBDeleven and VCDS to "enchance" my c.7.5 got some of the things enabled like:

- Disable rear wiper autowipe on reverse
- Enable all weather lights as cornering lights
- Disable parning brake autorelease buckle detection
- Coming / Leaving home: DRL only

Stuff that did not work:
- Automatic parking brake on shift lever in P: Was "disabled", set to "Active" but still, no automatic parking brake if i shift to P, turn off the engine and open the door. If i use "Audi auto hold" - then parking brake activates automaticly when engine is shut off. Shame that the Audi auto hold suck's (in my opinion) and i can't use it.

What's boggling my mind:

- On my palls c7, on Audi drive select he can also adjust the seatbelt pre-tensioners. Is there any way to enable it?

I activated this today using my VCDS. I rebooted the MMI and now the menu shows up where I can change the distance from one, two, three or four. However, when I went for a drive, it doesn’t seem like it does anything when I change the settings through the MMI, only when I move the little lever on the stalk. What is it supposed to do? Does I do the same thing that deliver on the stock do and only gives you another option of where to make the changes? Also, how do I get the car tonight come to a stop within 6 inches of the bumper of the car in front of me? Is there a way to change that setting?

If I have it set to 70 and the cars up ahead are at a standstill, it will speed up on them and then almost slam on the brakes and stop 6 inches from the car in front of me. It’s super annoying and uncomfortable, not to mention sometimes scary.

The MMI setting only sets the default distance position (1-4). You use the lever control if you want to change the distance after driving. When you shut the car off it defaults back to the MMI distance position.

Maybe worth revisiting what the manual has to say about how ACC works and what the limits are.

The four following "distance" settings are dynamic based on the speed the car is traveling at, and correspond to how much reaction time the driver will have if the car being followed stopped abruptly. In my time on this forum, I've never heard of anyone changing the tables the car uses for the distances, or changing how far the car stops from followed traffic.

Like pretty much all of the adaptive cruise systems, ours isn't designed to detect previously stopped traffic or stationary obstacles. Beyond that, one of the first things in the manual's description of the system is "ACC will not make an emergency stop." Aside from the technical limitation for what the sensors can "see" and understand, the car uses *only* the rear brakes under normal operation with ACC, which are not adequate for an emergency stop. The system relies on some common sense from the driver to take over and stop normally. Failing that, the braking guard system should kick in...which uses the emergency brake, which applies max braking force to all four wheels, which sounds very unpleasant.

I'm trying to enable the Aux Ventilation but all the instructions relate to C7 with the Hidden Menu..

[5F - Information Electr.] [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 6

I have done all the Long Coding but no luck. Looking in 5F Adaptations I found some options related to Aux Vent / Aux Heating.
