TT rear spoiler

Is there a way to manually retract the spoiler? Owners manual indicates we have to drive the car and use the spoiler button. Really stupid if so; we wash the car and clean under the spoiler as Audi states we should do occasionally but now we have to drive the car just to have it retract. Am I missing something here?

Manually Retract the Spoiler? There is no way you can force it to retract. What you have to do is press and hold the button and then it will stay up until pressed again or you hit the speed limit and then it will lower again. :D
