You mean running the facelift Tailights?

    Like this:

Or you just referring to changing out the actual bulbs?

Looks really great. But the cost for the whole kit is still really high. I was hoping it might come down a bit but it hasn't budged. LED bulbs in OEM incandescent housing always sucks. Never seen it look right. The newer bulbs with built-in resistors or VAG COM bulb-out defeat sound promising, but the issue is that the light dispersion just doesn't properly utilize the incandescent reflector.

Not sure what you are getting at... but the tailights I posted are OEM... and they are only like 400 dollars for the entire set up.

the price won't come down because that is roughly the OEM replacement cost.

you can get the aftermarket tail lights that has the bunch of LED points of 10 yrs ago..they go for around $200.

Sorry I never got back to this... got derailed. What I originally meant was LED bulbs in place of halogen rarely works well. The OEM LED light housing looks great. I've seen 2 different styles of this -- one that carries over the clear reflective slot of the reverse lights into the outer tails, called Marelli. The other does not. I'm assuming the inner housings remain the same?

Yeah that's just the difference between north American (clear for reverse only) tailights and European (clear for reverse and amber signals)

I got you. I assume it's correct to say that all European tails come with rear fog light capability?
Also, is VCDS programming a necessity to get the face-lift tails to work in 06-08 models? And is that due to the LED components (because otherwise, aren't the main bulbs halogen?).
