Tint on White

What do you guys suggest for side and rear window tint on white cars? I usually have darker colored cars and this will be my first white.
I know each state has different legal limits, but lets forget that for now. What do you think looks best on white?

20 all around? Or different % for front sides, rear sides, rear?

I have 20% all around on my car, which is black by the way and also is illegal in my state. I based it on looks and ability to see while driving at night. I have no problems what so ever seeing at night and it looks darker than it really is because of my dark interior. Should look great on a white car with no visibility issues at night. I know some people go darker but I used to have double limo tint on an older car of mine and would have to roll down my drivers window to see curbs when making left turns at night

I have 20% on my Glacier White (Madico CaroCOOL Film), I absolutely love it, best thing I ever did to the car.

Depending on the angle you look at it and the sun it can look much darker or much lighter then what it actually is.

What color is your interior?

I always go 5% all around and 35% on the entire windshield.

You can't go wrong with 20% all the way around.

If you go the 35% route, do 20% on the rear windshield, it may help darken everything up.

Edit: Saw you are in Houston, do not go any lighter than 20%

id still go dark as you can...white is a beautiful color but tinted windows on a white b8 looks great!

Yeah, 20% sounds good.

My car is a glacier white prestige with the black alcantara and dark headliner.
It's also coming with the side and rear window screens for the kiddos.

I have a white car and I went with 18% all around but I wish I would have went darker. The guy scared me about getting pulled over.

try to get same tint shade on front and rear or there will be too much contrast on such a light color like white. only avants could pull off front windows being lighter, in my opinion. keep in mind that darker tints do not necessarily equate to better heat rejection. for example, films from 3m, huper optic, lumnar air 80 offer superior heat rejection even with 80 percent light transmission. this way, you can go with a lighter tint all around for consistency without gettig attention with the fuzz, and keep interior cool.

I have the rear sunshades option and they perfect to get privacy during the day, and unobstructed visibility at night with just a push of a button.

I suggest 35% all around.

I'm a fan of tinted windows, not blacked-out windows, so I tend to like the look of lighter shades. In my opinion too dark of tint looks ghetto and isn't classy. You want the added privacy and a sleeker look, but you don't want the first thing you notice about the car to be 'the windows are black'. That's just my opinion. This is fact though, lighter colored cars and dark interiors make any given tint % look even darker. Its amazing how much the paint color (contrast or lack of) and interior color can effect the overall look of the same shade of tint.

If your car is white with black interior (including headliner) a lighter shade is still going to look pretty dark.

I agree with b6onboost, I went 30% Llumar ATR all around and I am happy with the results.

Very pleased with my 35% all around, ceramic. Cuts way down on heat, doesn't get unwanted attention from cops, and it looks way darker because of my black interior.

This is what I've gone with for all my cars. Plan on doing it to my B8.5 as well.
