How to Reset roof on audi tt 2008

Hi guys, I have an audi tt roadster 2008... But I have a problem with the roof, it doesnt close or open completely, we already checked the hydraulic pump on the back and it works fine, the liquid is with the right level, the fuse is fine... If we opened a little bit the roof manually and and we press the switch to close, it will close correctly... But there is a sound clack clack clack clack....

Probably it could be to reset the roof, or something... Is there a way to reset the roof?

I have not done it yet on my TT but on my previous Audi (2006 S4 Cabriolet) I had to do it twice in 5 years and resetting it did the trick. To reset the roof, you have to open/close the roof completely by hand. To do so, you use the special tool/key you will find in a special compartment left of the dashboard. You have to open the driver door to see the cover of this compartment.
Instructions on how to use the tool, where to insert it and how to operate the roof manually should be in the owner manual.

To everyone else:
Every Roadster/Cabriolet owner should get familiar with the process and do a test run on a nice Saturday afternoon when the conditions are good. It is a good idea to be ready just in case. I remember having to do it at the cottage at 1AM in less than ideal conditions. I whished I had practiced this before. When you know what you are doing, it is much easier the second time around. Just my 2 cents...
