Redline D6 ATF Fluid

I've been holding off changing the ATF fluid in my S4, mostly because of the high cost of the OEM ZF-8 fluid that our cars require. I know some of you have used Redline D4 fluid, but that does not satisfy the Shell M-L12108 standard(VW/AUDI # G 060 162).

Finally, it looks like I've found the fluid that I can live with. I was looking at Redline's website today and discovered their D6 fluid, which is similar to D4 but has a lower viscosity, and the best news is that it does satisfy the Shell standard for our transmissions. It's also about $12 a quart!

Now, if only Europaparts or ECS Tuning would make a kit for it...

I'm running Ravenol 6hp that I bought from Blauparts. The B6 S4 with Tip came from the factory filled with ZF 6HP, so this is compatible.

Red Line sets a market price, so you'll almost never see it on sale or with any sort of volume discount. Just find a local distributor so you don't pay shipping.
