Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Tried searching the forum for a topic on these two, too compare them but couldnt find it. Anyone try both of these coilovers? I need some advice, pros and cons on both to help me make up my decision. Thank you!

Ride quality, if its stiff or soft, or rides the same as stock. What problems have you had with these coilovers. How are they in winter weather such as rain, snow, salt. How is the customer service with these companies and their warranty, and lastly how do these run with 034 Motorsport sway bar?

I have the Stasis and I love them. Well, I use to and they need to be overhauled.
I have been quoted $220 for each front strut but the lead time is nuts: 3 to 4 weeks. I am trying to figure out if I could simply buy just new struts. Does someone has a PN just for the strut or a source?

    Thx

What is the comparsion between sport suspension and the vogtlands? is it just same ride quality but lower adjusting?

I've been running vogtlands for at least a year and I love them. I had H&R/Bilstein combo before which was stiff as hell. Vogtlads are so much smoother and comfortable for a DD. I cannot talk about Stasis though, never had them.

Oh and Vogtland go very low

I had Vogtlands before going air and I loved them. They were stiff and very comfortable to drive everyday.

I suppose I'll mention that I've had Vogtlands for about a month now? I love the ride so far and they pass the gf test. Not bouncy and handle alright. But I also didn't buy them for performance. I believe the GT's have adjustable dampeners. Mine don't.

I agree, if he wants to get them for performance he should look somewhere else. I can say that my H&R/Bilstein combo was more responsive and stable in high speed turns, but I never track the car so I can care less. I'd rather have more comfortable ride.

The STaSIS are no longer available... I do have something that is VERY similar though

Koni Coilover Kit (A4 B6/B7 quattro & FWD)

Vehicles usually have an unsightly wheel gap with stock suspension which takes away from the body lines designers worked so hard to create. The Audi A4 B6 and B7 are two classic examples of designs that were far ahead of their time. Unfortunately, they both came with extreme wheel gap which is magnified once aftermarket wheels are installed. If you speak to any enthusiast he or she will tell you that the first step of aesthetic modding should be to lower the car.

Not only will a lowered car provide a lower center of gravity which will provide superior handling but it will be more visually appealing as well. This Koni coilover kit will provide all of that and more by being fully adjustable which will allow you to dial in the ride height that is to your exact spec.

The lifetime manufacturer warranty will ensure that these coilovers will provide everything mentioned for the life of the vehicle. This KONI coilover kit fits:

    2002-2008 Audi A4 (Quattro & FWD, Sedan & Avant, 4 and 6 Cyl.)

Seems that we never really reached a consensus on this... So I will throw my questions in. Sorting this suspension stuff out seems to be fairly difficult, and like other things; I don't want to find out I made the wrong choice after I make a purchase and have them installed. I really only want to buy right once and be done.

So what I am looking for specifically that I have been unable to find thus far and what my goals are. Please let me know if these will not match my desired effect.

Will a coilover suspension help keep the nose of the vehicle more level under heavy acceleration?
Weight of the Vogtland GT1 coilover system (Koni appears to be 40lbs)?
Which is easier to adjust once on the vehicle?
Are both of these systems fully threaded?
Any known issues or disappointments (significant differences) with either?

The Vogtland kit has a slightly higher spring rate and compression damping, so it'll be a little more flat.
The overall weight of the kits are about the same, 45lbs.
Vogtland are easier to adjust while on the car. To adjust damping for the shocks of the KONI, you have to remove the shock from the car, not exactly easy.
Both kits are fully height adjustable, and go lower than most people will ever bother to adjust.

We're still Vogtland's very first US distributor so have more experience with these than anyone. We're also a KONI distributor, and have installed dozens of both kits.
Let us know if you have any more questions, or are interested in ordering.

    Thanks

I had Stasis/Koni StreetSports and had a friend who had Vogtland GTs.

They're very similar. Probably the two mildest, daily driver friendly, quality coilovers for A4s. They both ride a little firmer than OEM sport, but handle significantly better. The Vogtland's are a tad firmer so they corner a little flatter. However the only way you'd notice is if you jumped from one to the other for a direct comparison. They're also easier to adjust on the car. One Stasis/Koni flaw is the rear perch which is almost impossible to adjust without dropping the subframe. The Vogtlands are the better overall set in my opinion.

There use to be a big price difference between the two. You could get Stasis/Koni for like $899-999 (AZ advertised price) meanwhile the Vogtlands were around $1200. However I know the price of Stasis/Konis shot up to around the $1100-1200 level, at which point the Vogtlands seem like the clear better buy in my opinion.
