How many C6.5 avants were made for the US?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Or I should say "imported" to the US. Is there any way to find out how many of them were made? It seems to me that they are rather rare. I rarely ever see them on ebay motors, only a handful are on autotrader, and only one is on carmax. Years are 2009-2011. Thanks.

Yes, call or write to Audi of America. They can answer your question.

I'd be curious to find out as well, let me know if you find out. I've never seen a 2009 model, but it seems it exists. All 2011 are S-Line too, and I don't think S-Line was offered in '10 and '11.

I just picked one up and it was the only one in the state (and CA is a big state). The next closest was in Portland.

I see there is a rare red one in San Diego right now (one of 4 on auto trader).

Thats a sweet color but the asking price is way too high for the year and the miles.

Best bet is to email AoA customer service. Btw, it seems someone already picked up that C6 on Carmax.com.

Not sure which one your referring to, but the on I'm talking about is this one http://www.carmax.com/enus/view-car/...e-120ab2c923d5

Its like an exact copy exterior wise as my current ride, just in A6 form. Deep Sea Blue with the same type of wheels. Just the asking price is stupid high. Asking 5k over Blue Book value.

Yes, that is the exact car..It was unavailable in searches yesterday. Actually I test drove that car last week before picking up another one in Chicago...'10 Prestige with much lower miles, CPO also. Apart from their no-haggle asking price, they try to 'up sell' you.

Just got a reply for AoA. I'm a little shocked at how many were sold between 2009-11. 509 for 2009, 764 for 2010, and 502 for 2011. In other words the C6.5 avant is hella rare IMO and gonna be a PITA to find.

I recall seeing a few of these at my local dealer a few years ago. 3.0 Avant. Nice

Damn, I was thinking it would be in the 1200-1500 a year range. Audi sells more TTRS's... Going to be real hard to find and this low volume drives that point home big time.

I guess I'll be looking for an A7 in a few years.

I won't sweat over it too much. For that I'm holding onto my B7 avant. I'll probably look for the next year or so. If I can't land anything in good, I'll have to seriously consider the 3.2 Q5(sigh SUVs) since I need something bigger than my current avant.

Well, that explains why I looked for so far and long and never ended up with a C6 A6 Avant. I'm not surprised by the production figures and I would even venture to say that this Avant may even be one of the rarest Audis to come to the U.S., except for perhaps the current R8 GT. Rare indeed. Probably also explains why AoA decided not to bring any more Avants to the U.S. for that matter.

Recently, there was a 2011 Quartz Grey S-line listed in the ads about a month ago, with the 19" 7-arm double-spoke wheels, black sport interior, aluminum inlays (not the typical wood trim). Damn, I was drooling over that car but I would have had to travel several states over to check it out, which was bad timing since my job was keeping me busy working weekends. Needless to say, that car sold pretty quick. Oh well...

Definitely one of the rarest, rarer than the RS4 but not the '03 RS6. I think the TT-RS was around 2k over two years.

    The RS4 was ~2500 and the RS6 was ~1200.
