any elaboration on the modification to the rotors? they cheaper than new rings for my AP racing kit.

S4james the only modification I had to due to the rotors was make the very center hole bigger to fit on the b5 hub.

That would mean machining to ensure the rotor remains properly centered on the hub correct?

I wouldnt know down here in the south we just make things work. I'm sure a grinder or something like dremal would make it work. Also 034 motorsports has ttrs steel braided brake lines that I think will work nicely, just waiting on them to email me back. But depending on how handy you are with metal a machine shop would probably not be neccessary.

sounds good. the rotors are damn cheap. Im going to test fit the calipers and see if they clear my wheels.

ITs not so much an upgrade for me, as a cheaper source of rotors. The damn blank rings for my AP kit are not cheap, and they warped pretty fast after a single machining.

TT RS has the same center bore of 57.1 so any rotor bore enlargement must be very minor and probably to aoccomodate the chamfer on the hub. As such, like 17Z/18Z conversion, what needs to be done to merc rotor is to run a flap wheel inside the rotor hole to grind off that 1mm or whatever it is and it takes seconds... and comes out very symmetrical since it is a flap wheel with larger than hole diameter.

Sounds good. Julex is exactly right you don't have to take much off at all. And I will say my 18s are close but clear just fine and I can assure you that the caliper bolts up perfectly. Still waiting on 034 to ensure that a ttrs brake line will connect just fine.

I have a few sets of these. Its no direct bolt on. Have to hone out center holes of rotors and you also need 2mm or 3mm spacers in between the hub and rotor. The rotor hat offset is too inboard and rubs the inside of the caliper

You also need larger wheels as mentioned. I have vmr 19's and its very close. My winter wheels will never fit. I had to machine the spacers to fit inside the rotor but it works. Also was able to route my metal b5 brake lines to work with these brembo calipers. They look great but u do need to machine a few things first.

To get a set of ttrs front brakes? Well you would have know someone who works at an Audi dealership. There is an update on certain ttrs cars for brake noise where you replace the front brakes. I've already run the vin of all the 3 ttrs's in my area and I only had one with the update eligible.

Where do you source these spacers? And they fit over the wheel hub and the rotor is still centered? Aka, no vibrations?

The spacer as well as the rotor need to modified to fit the hub correctly. I have since installed mine by making very crude adjustments with a grinder. I have had a lot of trouble getting them to sit centered so I strongly suggest taking them to a machine shop and possible taking your b5 rotors an tell them to match them. They are absolutely amazing brakes, I get light headed every time I stop cuz they bite that hard. But to save major headache take them and have the modified with the proper tools.

And spacers from ecs tuning 3 mm would be perfect with no modification to caliper.

I cannot get a side view now only had brakes on for test fitting.
i am expecting a pair of these.
So the caliper just lines right up on the s4?

The caliper bolts right up to your spindle housing. It's the machining of the spacer/ rotor to fit correctly. Just so everyone knows, I put the ECS spacer on a brake lathe and sanded/grinded outer part to make diameter of spacer smaller to fit flush inside of rotor as you can see in pictures above. I have removed brakes due to my Winter wheels being 17" . You have a much better brake pedal with these calipers because they are non-floating.

I've been riding with them for a while now and all I can say is damn! They are great brakes the only problem I had was making the rotors fit correctly. As I've said before I strongly recommend having a machine shop change the center bore of the rotors so you can just slap them on.

Just picked up a set for cheap.

Basically the calipers bolt right up no issues, the center bore of the rotor needs to be widened slightly by a machine shop, and a 3mm spacer in between the hub and the rotor needs to be machined as well, and lastly, they may or may not fit underneath 18" wheels. What brake lines did you guys end up going with?

The recall was for brake squeal. A local TTRS owner i talked to said his squeal went away after a proper bedding, its been 10k miles or so since then. I hoping this solves the issue.

I did steel braided ttrs brake lines from 034 and I will say that they are way too long. The factory b5 lines will work you just may have to re bend them to make them fit nicely. I saw a guy on here trying to sell them for like $1300 I just laughed.

^ ya man you can make the factory lines work I think one guy went that route. The only thing is you may have to bend them slightly to maneuver them around the brembo. They can be made to work though so don't sweat it just alittle bit of creativeness is needed.

Great find! Since they fit the B5 im interested in trying to get a set for my C5 allroad, the 370mm brakes would look great on any platform IMO. did you do upgraded rears at all? Just wondering about brake balance/bias? With such huge fronts are the oem rears capable of doing anything?
