I just got 35% suntek all around on mine. Its not as dark as you think it would be in person, which is good. Its subtle, but functional. Im in new jersey where front is illegal, hoping for the best.

Nice. Just beware of NYPD if your in NY. Fattys have nothing better to do than to chase people down for tints. I've had NYPD wait for me to fill up gas to come after me and pull me over. Such a joke as you can watch other people speeding and what not near by. Ok end rant...

Can they give an out of state driver a ticket for something that's legal in their own state?

I think NY is a no tint anywhere state, so if I rolled in with NJ legal tint on my back windows would I still get a ticket being that I'm registered in NJ?

You should not, provided that your legal residence is somewhere where your level of tint is legal. Also it's legal to have the back windshield and back 2 windows on a 4 door with tint in NYS just not the front windshield or doors. Also they are working on a law now that would take your car off the road for "illegally" dark tint on your windows instead of just getting a ticket! If that law passes I will be leaving NYS after school as the laws here have gotten out of control!

This link is confusing because it says in one sentence it's OK to have the back windows tinted with side view mirrors. But then the next paragraph says they must allow 70% of light in if vehicle meets specific classifications... [shrugs] I know in Buffalo if your back windows are only tinted they don't give you a problem.
*read again and it appears they're talking about the rear windshield, would technically your back windows cannot be either :( oh well Ill just keep paying the tickets lol
