2013 Q5 3.0T 0-60 Times

When APR had my Q5 for baseline and after tuning dyno runs, They also used the Racelogic Performance Box to measure before and after o-60 times.

If I recall correctly, they measured before @ 6.0 seconds and after @ 5.0 seconds (I need to Ask Arin@APR what mode he was in; (Manual or Sport)....

Either way, his "before" time was dead on all the runs I had done on my own. I tried all kinds of things to beat 6.0 seconds and that was as good as I was going to get with a Stock tune. I consistently ran 6.0-6.3 seconds at least a dozen times, on numerous different days.


I had to run to the store and buy some cat food this evening, so decided to take the P=Box and Gopro along and do some comparison runs.
Car is fully loaded down + two kid's car seats (my sons weighs like 30lbs). Also had a box of work stuff that weighs about 25lbs and 30lbs of cat food.

The first run was in "manual" mode and the second run was after a little heat soak and in normal "drive" mode. The car definitely shifts faster in "manual" mode.

Times are hard to see because of glare:

cool engine and "man" mode = 4.7 seconds

warm engine an "drive" = 5.9 seconds (I think it would have been 5.7 seconds if I had done this run first)

Nice results! Do you brake-torque the launch or go off of idle?


Now that my SQ5 is past 1,000 miles I need to datalog with my vbox. Hopefully it is capable of a sub-5 second 0-60mph run.

I bring rpms to about 1800 for a second before letting off brake.
When you use your PBOX, do it with trans in manual.
Wondering how high the rpms go in your car, in 1st gear. Seems like all the regular Q5's shift out of first around 5800 rpms, then 6200-6400 for the rest.

Also, Audi claims 5.5 seconds 0-60 for my car stock, but best time I could ever get stock was 6.0
