Black headliner...Which A4's came with it?

So a month ago yesterday I picked up my first new Audi, a 2014 A4 P+ with Sport package. Its been a great month so far, I love this car and could not be happier with my purchase. I came from a 2008 VW R32 which I also loved but it was time to upgrade. I was bored at work yesterday and browsing audiusa.com and built an A4, mainly for fun but I noticed something under the "Standard Features" the website states a black cloth headliner is a standard feature...So where is my black headliner? Since I am assuming all A4's with the exception of prestige with S-line interior came with the tan/grey whatever color you wanna call it, why would this be listed under a standard feature on the P+? CSB? Oh well i'll go back to loving my new car and trying not to spend too much money on parts

It's because you have s-line package. Under exterior you have s-line

I do have the S-line package as all 2014's came with it

If I go to the site, I get the black headliner when configured with a manual transmission, but not with the 8sp Auto or CVT. At least before, the black headliner was part of the s-line package (the full s-line package, not the exterior s-line package). Unless they've changed that, it may just be a glitch in the web site. I've never heard of it being related to the transmission before.

According to the order guide, the S-Line interior package is the only way to get the black headliner. It is an optional package for prestige only, and requires the sport package as well. Premium plus and Prestige automatically come with S-Line exterior.

Full S line package or Titanium packaged cars came with the black headliner. My '11 P+ with Titanium has the black headliner.

The audi site is missing a lot of stuff and has a lot of that needs to be corrected. For instance on the Audi site you can't config an RS5 with black optics/titanium pack.

I will definitly post pics.. I have yet to see anyone with volcano red.. I chose it because it was different.. Its just the wait thats unbearable

I wanted to see the interior of your car as to see what you were talking about.... I know mine should come with it.

My car has the tan/grey standard headliner that all A4's come with I just thought it was funny Audi's website said a black headliner is standard which it is not the only way to get it is on a prestige with the s-line interior kit

Headliner depends on interior color:

- Chestnut Brown and S-Line interiors get the black headliner.
- Black and Titanium Grey interiors get a grey headliner.
- Velvet Beige gets a beige headliner.

I wish they just matched the color of the rest of the interior. I feel that is what most people would prefer. Also, if they did that, getting a different color might be easier for those who want it.

The only one that doesn't match is the standard black interior. They pair it with a grey headliner. Its the only combo where the headliner does not match either the dash or the seat color.

Its wierd because the grey headliner is so light that it just seems out of place in an otherwise all black interior.
