    Heard that you can dissable the awd in our b7 a4 kinda remember there being a thread but cant find anything can anyone help

    You can but you'll need to weld your center diff and get a set of front axles your willing to cut up.

    No.

    Haldex AWD you can, as the center diff is electronic. So on an R32 yea you can do that. Not on the Audi Torsen systems. Its all mechanical so there isn't a way to disable it short of welding diffs and removing axles.

    Why would you want to disable AWD? Regardless, I can confirm what they're saying-- quattro is purely mechanical, which is what makes it unique, special, and awesome. So unless you've got a degree in metallurgy, a lot of free time, another diff, and another set of axles you're staying AWD.

    The only reason I can think of is for Haldex guys to dyno on a FWD dyno. Thats pretty much it...
