Question Need advice on 20" Wheels/Tires/Lowering Springs

    Hey guys,

Bear with me as I am new to the forum and the Audi A5. I have a 2009 A5 and I am looking to get Niche Targa 20" wheels for it. I have researched a bit for having a flush look and I have seen very little about offset recommendations etc for these wheels. Ideally I would like to get lowering springs as well and I've seen Eibach and a couple others. Any advice and/or recommendations on what brand and model lowering springs best suit the A5, the best offset for 20"x10" Niche Targa wheels, and best value on 20" tires, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at the two stickes that give info on wheels and suspension setups?

I am lowered on h&r springs 10.5 all around 25/20mm offset no problems.

I am lowered on St coils. 20X10 offset ET25 front and ET20 rear. You could even go ET5-10 more depending on your tires and camber. Best value tires in terms of price vs performance (best value) seems to be Hankook Ventus V12 here in the forums.

V12s are good tires. I'd recommend the Michelin super sports even if they are a little bit more. I have dropped on the h&r spinga before and they were a little harsh but I'm currently on b&g and they suite my needs. As for the offset you it's up to you. You can always use spacers.

Skip springs and go to coil overs. But OE's are good. I ran them for a couple years.

ET25 is a good safe offset but you could dip down into the high teens easily, even on a 275/30.

V12's are good is max performance is what you need. If you need ultra high performance the RE760 is a good buy and for all season, Nero M+S.
