advice for aftermarket Air suspension for my A8L

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
i bought this A8L and did a S8 front conversion im trying to lower my audi as low as possible, my plan is to buy some nice VIP modular wheels but im not sure how low will the car go on stock suspension. and what can i buy or do to make it just drop to the ground when parked and raise a little bit when driving

ive been messing around with the lowering links and i put them to the lowest setting but now the car doesnt go up or down just the yellow suspension light goes on and the options on mmi block out

    any advice?

    my car now

Id put spacers on the rear and call it a day at most...but thats just me. Long cars look downright odd when theyre "slammed" or "bagged" or whatever its called

I have the lowering links also ......I think I know what your problem is.....look at the senor arms are all of them facing inward if not........you have the links on wrong........all of the arms should be facing inwards away from the tires.....milddle of the car.....If the front is lower and the rear is high ....the arms on the rear are wrong.....just disconnect the rears make sure the arms in front and back are facing each other.......start from process all over again....

i did put them on wrong at first when my car raised super high like a truck. but then i changed the sensor lever the right way and it lowered and stopped but it didnt go as low as it did in the beginning even tho i made the links shorter then before but now for it to drop all the way i have to disconnect the link and move the lever down all the way so it touches the other end that's the only way it will lower how i want it but as soon as i put the link on it raises the rear again to the "lift" height when im in "dynamic" mode. the front goes up and down but back doesnt want to go lower.... frustrating

I would put the OEM links back on, let the CPU reset....1. Oem links back on drive forward then backward, make sure nothing pops up on the dash....make sure your on even ground....2. Then install the aftermaket links according to instructions....remember make sure to keep driveside window down.....drive forward and backwards.....3 the links you order may on let the car drop to a certain height.....remember front is heavier......LOL

i Dont have the oem links, i bought the car like this. and no matter what height i make them i still get the code

    001400-suspension level control
    001 - upper limit exceeded - Intermittent
    ....
    ....
    and so on

    sooo frustrating ..

I think the links can only be adjusted 8mm shorter than OEM…..if its more than 8mm it will throw codes….

Any other way to get the car lower without using the links?

If you want a nice stance and want to be lower, go big or go home. Do air ride suspension and these to help with the setup. Good luck

    Nice ride by the way

I have been looking for a set of adjustable control arms. Certain these will work on a D3 S8?

Per Brad Gardner - these will not work with the D3 A8/S8
