    Nope. Pretty sure not, my A4 Avant stock exhaust is only 3 pieces. The Cat, the down pipe then the rest. So, basically from the fire wall back to the tips is one giant piece. I had to borrow a vehicle to get mine home from the exhaust shop.

    You could cut it and the next person could get weld it together.

    What he said. My downpipe-back section was cut down the middle and will have to be welded back together if the next owner wants it back on. If you want to keep this section in one piece, bring a rental van with you and just make sure you have a place to store it.

    I cut mine just past the rear cross-brace where the passenger side tube bends off toward the rear passenger side muffler. I used a permanent marker to match-mark the tube in two places prior to cutting, so that the next person (or me if I reinstall prior to selling the car) can get it welded back together as close to OEM position as possible.

    I didn't take mine with me. Knew I'd never put it back on the car even if I had an issue with the AWE system - I'd buy another aftermarket exhaust before putting the stock one back on :)

    Cut mine just behind the center muffler so the 2 rear mufflers and pipes are now separate pieces. If it needs to go back on I will just use sleeve-clamps to fit it back together. No welding required. However, like MrFUNK, I'll probably never re-install it and it will sit in my garage until well after the car is gone.

    +1

    You can just cut it and then use exhaust clamps when you reinstall the stock system. If you ever needed a replacement exhaust from Audi, they would come sectioned like this;

    The center resonator + mufflers only come in 1 piece from the factory.

    I just returned my S4 exhaust to stock using the clamps, and there are no issues. It makes it much easier to transport/store the stock exhaust as well.
