AUDI A3 rear lights question

N00b question, but I recently bought a certified pre owned 2012 Audi A3 Premium Plus, but my rear lights do not look like this. I searched and only found information regarding 2009 and below that its a replacement light and different coding, but what about 2012? My rear lights look like it had the LED outline on it but doesn't look like this when driving/brakes are applied. How do I achieve this look?

That is the 2013 lights pictured. PM Alex@europrice on here. He has done lots of upgrades from US to ROW tail lights for the A4/5 cars. He might be able to do something here.

Thanks for the reply guys. Here is a picture of my current tail light. It does have that LED outline but it isn't on while driving or doesn't come on either when I apply my brakes. Only the inner lights do.

turn your headlight on then it will illuminate the border, you already have updated tails.

as the OP posted he has 2012 and audi already changed it to LED in 2009. there is no need to change anything.
