    What is the difference between A cam and B cam?

    The A cam is a softer material than the B cam. There is a production date cutoff when they started using Rev B cams. I think it was sometime in 2007 or possibly as early as late-2006 (based on production date, not necessarily model year).

    Ok i figured it was something relating to that. Anyway you can tell by your vin or any serial #?

    If you remove the vacuum pump cover the a revision is one piece, the b revision is two piece. You can see it on the rear face of the cam

    You should be able to tell by VIN, but I'm not sure anyone has any hard info on what vinscorrespond to the B cams.

    Not that it matters as the HPFP will still destroy the B cams. It'll just take a few hundred miles more...
