    B6 Brake Warning Light

Hi y'all... I wonder if anyone else has experienced this problem:

Recently I've started getting a brake warning light flash in my dashboard & 3 beeps (which sound the same to the one you hear when your fuel is low) every time I turn left in my B6... unless I go very slowly.

Any ideas what could cause this apart from low brake fluid levels...?

The warning light is similar to this...

IIRC from my B6, that is brake pads are worn

Also check your brake fluid if you are just getting the beeping and flashing light

Brake pad wear indicator telling you that you need new pads.

Would that be front pads or rear pads... or all of them...? Brakes actually seem to work fine.

Only the front pads have wear sensors. Take a close look at the front inside pads. The're the only ones with the "sensor". The sensor is simply a wire loop embedded in the brake pad. Once the pads wear down enough to sever the wire loop the brake pad wear indicator comes on.

    B6 Brake Warning Light

Something weird has happened... or maybe it isn't weird... I dunno. But I topped up my engine oil & now the brake warning doesn't come up anymore... nor does it beep. Hmmm.
