Damn Navi disc is stuck in my RNS-D!!! Please help, anyone?? Thanks in advance~

Wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem?

So I hit the eject button one day & the RNS-D doesn't spit that sucker out...now it's stuck & whenever I turn on the unit, says "please insert disc" when it's already inside...radio & Phatbox work fine but bloody Navi is useless.

I liked driving around with my car located on the screen map...maybe it's time to finally upgrade to an RNS-E MK2?

There must be a way to get that mischievous little bastard outta there (without messing up the unit)...

    Thanks in advance~!!

Lot of units will spit out disc when power is removed and then turned back on.

It sounds like the mechanism may be getting too weak to spit it out...

And what do you mean RNS-E MK2? Is there a version of RNS-E that fits the B5 without all the modding?

On the RNS-D, there is not an eject button on the unit itself. You'll need to go through the menu options and locate the eject feature that way.

Thanks everyone - both eject methods don't do anything (pressing physical button & going through navi menu to eject disc), just hear a little cd spinning sound & then...nothing.

RNS-E years 2010 onwards have an HD resolution & can accept mem cards up to higher capacities than 4 gb (from what I've heard, still haven't researched myself much until I have the cash to spare)

Still need to find or custom make those small spacers to eliminate those "awful" 1 mm gaps ;p

And yeah, previous owner left a pirated copy of the maps or something...mentioned not to touch the eject button (sometimes when starting up before, navi didn't load up, so had to power on/off ~x2-3 til it read properly, maybe happened 25% of the time), so thought perhaps disc could be dirty & I pressed eject...didn't pop out & started not recognizing disc inside from then on...mechanic friend at Audi/VW/Porsche said for a while, Porsche models had the same stupid problem with their navi's...crappy disc loading mechanism...

Wish I didn't touch that cursed eject button...that was like 8 months ago...

Never seen this unit but if it slot loading a trick I use on macbooks is I use a credit card with double sided tape. I stick it in the slot and press the eject button and grab the disk and pull it out with the credit card.
