Hey, anyone go with Edeading or Insulating the floor of the trunk to reduce cabin noise of the road/exhaust for those who have the likes of the non res/miltek custom exhausts? I have the miltek with an X Pipe. Wondering if anyone has gone about it that way and maybe come into any problems?

I don't have any experience with the s4 but on my previous car i used sound deadening but mainly to stop rattles from sound system. I think what you really want to use is some type of acoustic foam that will help with airborne sounds like exhaust

Insulating Edead/Dynamat of the trunk for Drone?

I have my whole trunk dynomat as well as the bench, mostly for acoustic sound to stop rattling from my sub, it may help drone slightly, but not really. Drone is something you can't eliminate with an aftermarket exhaust they all have it on the DSG below 2k RPM despite what any vendor claims.

I don't think it will help much. Those change the resonant frequency of the item you put them on and are helpful to remove colorations of the sound from sympathetic panel vibration & resonance. Your drone isn't caused by that.

Insulating Edead/Dynamat of the trunk for Drone?

Dynomat is no designed to, not will it, stop drone. It is not sound insulation. It is to basically add mass to thin metal to reduce it from vibrating which causes rattling, to put it in lay terms as much as I can.

You would have to get actual sound insulating foam, which companies DO sell. However, I tried this on my 2004 SVT Cobra, and it didn't help any that I could notice. I even cut it to the same shape as the trunk mat.

My advice, stay stock if you don't want noise or get a system that does not drone.

It's there any sound deadening foam that can be sprayed on the undercarriage?

If there is still an open cavity next to sub in the trunk then you can use some home insulation or sound proofing to cover it up.
It should reduce the loudness in the cabin by half.
