any way to tell what revo tune I have? just picked up a project car..

I just picked up a 03 avant 1.8 as a project car and I am told it has a revo 2 tune which i am really not familiar with, in my area their is APR and Unitronics, I have always run unitronics.
anyway the car has a new Ko4, complete magnaflow exhaust, downpipe, intercooler, injectors not sure of the size though, but they are a large white injector, the car runs well but I would like to know just what tune this has, is their anyway to tell? it was probably tuned at least 2 yrs ago,maybe longer

it does run from 15 to around 19lbs of boost, at 1/2 it really pulls and runs great, but at full throttle it doesn't pull any harder and almost feels like it kind of dies out but still runs good,
on my 02 stock a4 with the unitronics 1+ tune it is much smoother and strong all the way to redline. so I am wondering if it is the tune or something else

Call REVO and give them your VIN and they should be able to tell you what is on the car.

If there is someone close by with the Revo SPS switch they may able able to use it to see the ECU current settings. Not sure if that would give you the stage level, but should provide some of the parameter settings.

Its has to their stage 2 tune due to the larger injectors and K04 turbo (REVO uses the same tune for big injector K03s and K04), unless the previous owner had no clue what they were doing.

I called revo and they do not have a Vin Check, and their is no one close to take the car to, but I now have only about 154 miles on the engine rebuild and it is runing much better, I am not pushing it at all yet but It is now definatly stonger then my other 02. for now I am just going to drive it a few hundred miles then I will start playing with it.

so far I have lowered suspension, S4 wheels, s4 paddle shift steering wheel, the past owner put some generic racing seats in it and I pulled them and put in some 04 leather seats (black front and rear, the original was grey but I kind of like the 2 tone and their was no grey locally)

Where are you located? It's not that far of a drive to North Akron (by the Chapel Hill Mall area) for Global Garage. They are an authorized Revo dealer and can help you out.

they are about 1 hr from me, after I put some more miles on the car I may check them out, or I may just go with Unitronics. not sure yet. so far only have about 180 miles on the new rebuild. and 1 year old gas is almost gone.
