Do lowering springs lower the car evenly?

I got my Neuspeed lowering springs installed yesterday. I decided to measure the ground to fender (GTF) distance and got 3 different results. I understand that I need to wait at least a week before the springs settle, but just wanted to make sure the height difference had nothing to do with the top strut nut tightening or possibly something else.

Are those of you running lowering springs getting different GTF heights?

The springs will need to settle a bit. Another thing to consider is that the front wheel wells are cut deeper (more arched) then the rears so you will have a smal variance between front and rear.

The front left is half and inch lower than the front right. The rears are the same as the front left. In other words, the front right is the highest.

Yeah, I remember my springs were like that. It's nice having coilovers because you can adjust everything to make it perfect. Don't worry too much because a proper alignment will help a little too. You took the measurements from a completely flat surface right?

Yeah, flat and level surface. I plan on doing an alignment this weekend. Will post pictures as soon as the alignment is completed.

maybe the springs differentiate between L/R? i mean if the front left was higher, that means it would compensate for driver weight

You really need to give them some time to settle in my own opinion. I would drive the car for at least a week before getting an alignment. Technicians at my dealership recommend putting a couple hundred miles on them before aligning the car.

I speak from experience. I've lowered every single Audi I've owned.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the week to go by. I lowered it on Monday, so I've still got 4 more days to go. I haven't measured the height since Monday, but just eyeballing it, it looks so much like my stock suspension springs! I hope it goes lower than that!

Prior to this car, i had the A4 B7 S-line with sport suspension and then I put Neuspeed springs and the drop was noticeable immediately after the drop!

Interesting. My first A4 I lowered on Eibach Pros and immediately noticed a drop (2005 A4). Then my 2010 I used H&R super sports but didn't care for them since they gave it a some what reverse rake. Now my 2013 I opted for H&R sports and the drop was immediately noticeable and it settled a little more over time.

Seems strange to me that you do not notice a difference.

Well considering that I already had oem sport suspension could be the reason the drop wasn't really noticable. In fact, the springs were about the same height when placed side by side.

Last night as I was walking toward my car in a parking lot I was able to see my car had indeed dropped some more since the install.

I'm glad it did drop because for a minute, I thought the springs were identical!

By the way, how could the springs be approximately the same height, yet one drops more than the other? Is it in the number of coils in the spring? The neuspeed spring had one more coil than the oem spring.

I've always come from stock "sport suspension" to a aftermarket sport spring and gotten significant drops out of the aftermarket spring.

    Hey everyone,

It's been over a month since I lowered the car with the Neuspeeds and then got the car aligned a week after.

My front left ground to fender height (driver side) is 25 3/4 inches, front right: 26 1/16 inches, rear left: 26 5/16 inches, rear right: 26 1/16 inches. Those measurements were taken with nothing in the car that could possibly weigh it down. It's strange to me that both heights on the right side are identical to each other, but the left side is lowest on the front and highest on the rear.

Is it possible to have these adjusted by tightening/loosening the top strut nut? I wonder if the shop that installed these (Eurocode Tuning in Torrance, CA) would be willing to adjust it if it is possible.

Info@EuroCode is their profile on here. Just shoot them a message linking this thread. That way they get the full story, and you don't have to explain everything all over.
