    Nappa leather repair

    Hi,

I've got a wear spot on my driver's seat that I don't want to get much worse. What's a good way to get this fixed?

Also, any recommendations for a good leather cleaner & conditioner that can restore the leather to OEM without the greasy shiny look?

    Thanks!

I use Murphys Wood Soap. It's an oil base soap that hydrates wood. But I use it on leather as well as all my wood furniture. Works great gets it nice and clean hydrates and conditions. doesn't leave a greasy finish or anything. Just make sure to dilute it with some water and you will be ready to rock. I use about a 1:1 ratio when diluting and I feel that it is "strong" at that point. so even a 1:2 ratio would be good also thats 1 part soap 2 parts water

It's difficult to see whether there is a small hole in the middle or if it is just scuffed.
You could probably just get away with coloring it by dabbing color on the wear mark with a sponge in order to duplicate the grain of the surrounding leather.
It there is a hole or if it is very worn/paper thin, you should probably use some kind of filler prior to coloring it.

I've used products from "http://furnitureclinic.co.uk/" when restoring my RS4 interior, and would expect near perfect results with their stuff. They have everything from colorants to fillers to everything else you could possibly need to restore leather.

Yeah, there is a small hole. I might try to call some mobile detailer they might be more proficient in fixing these things. Thanks

Weird I believe I have a hole in the same exact spot, but my seat is too far gone to worry about fixing it.

    This works:

It's pretty hard to match the colors but it can do nice for a small repair. I have 1 tear in each my driver and passenger seats that are now expelling the stuffing materials. I've been meaning to use this but I haven't gotten around to it.

If you have the money, I would use a guy like the dealers use. They do pretty nice work. It's tough to tell anything was ever wrong when they're finished.
