On the face lifted A6s (>09) this strip is part if the bottom door blade. I personally didn't car for it since my car had very little chrome anyway, so I bought S6 door blades which are flared and have no chrome.

    Before...

    After....

If you want a set if door blades withy the chrome, I will sell you mine. You will just need to get them painted.

On darker coloured cars who have left their chrome window trims, I think it looks brilliant. But on a white car like yours, definitely the S6 blades are much better. Looking to get myself a set soon!

On a side note, think you should shadowline your window trims, and put the front rings back stock with black rings on the rear :) It's what I'd do :D

My window trim is blacked out from the factory; one of the only advantages of purchasing a "Premium" aka Base level trim package. The only Chrome on the car was the grill surround (currently plasti-dipped), bottom fog grill trim (currently plasti-dipped), rings front and rear (switched both to black), the door blades (changed to S6) and the rear deck trim (plasti-dipped).
Thanks for the suggestion on the front rings but I dont want chrome. I have considered painting them Ibis White to match the car.

It is part of the door blade itself. Make me an offer and all you will need to do is get them painted!
