300 point Audi inspection?

Does anyone have an idea of how much it costs for this to be performed? Is the price different depending on whether the car is under Audi warranty or not?

No idea, I assume you are buying or selling a car? Ring the dealer. I bet it's an hour of labor or something in that ballpark.

The 300 pt checklist is not really that thorough. Any dealer can print it off and you can go through it yourself. I have purchase a few CPO's and even with the 300 pt, either you or another enthusiast need to do a PPI. That is the only way to get the dealer to fix the "wear/tear" or non-CPO covered items before closing the deal.

The car still has extended warranty thru next March (thru Audi). That being said the seller is having the 85,000 km servicing done on Wednesday so I was going to ask the dealer if they could add on a 300 pt inspection.

Should I get the 300 pt inspection or is the 85k service pretty thorough? (Seems pretty detailed online)

Just as an update if anyone needs the info in the future, I got quoted $185 (CAD) for the 300 pt inspection which they said can be done in 30 minutes lol.

thats because as mentioned the inspection is a load of bullshit.

let me get you in on a secret. Since your car is under warranty you should ask yourself if you believe your dealer will release itself of the opportunity at getting paid for in-warranty work(or better out of warranty work) because they failed to give you a 300point inspection.

They're giving you the inspection just about any time you walk in there. An opportunity to not sell the customer for something wrong with his car is a business doomed to failure.

The only real purpose of the inspection in my opinion is if you're buying a car on the internet or similar and want it inspected. Even then, Several indepenent agences offer the same service that are much more expansive and inclusive for just a little more.

Well I got it done but it was not worth it. Took maybe 30 minutes and just a line of check marks down the "perfect" column and an overall rating of "perfect car". Lol won't make that mistake again.
