What is an is4?

Has anybody else heard the B6 S4 referred to as an iS4? Google search brings up the B6 05 Audi S4 but I can't actually find any reference to what the "i" stands for.

Oddy, when I searched for 2005 is4 googled found me the page for the B6 S4. I guess it's such a common mistake any reference to the iS4 is just redirected.

I got a call from a guy looking at an "iS4" and thought he was looking at a Lexus. Turns out he's just stupid.

"Intelligent Sport 4", pretty rare although it has a completely redesigned and refined AWD system that Audi decided to limit to the masses. The engine was tuned a bit more but still less than the output of a RS4 and has a few more goodies on the interior including the instrument cluster from the R8, seats programmable by your cell phone device and I think you could even call your own car and it had a voice in which you could practically have a conversation with. Truth in engineering they say..
