Is he looking to find the sensor online to buy it or actually find the sensor location on the vehicle?

    Vasyok,

I believe that picture is the Camshaft position sensor. The crankshaft position sensor should be much lower, on the driver side either near the flywheel or the pulley. I know because my engine light came on and it was the crankshaft position sensor. When I picked up the part I noticed it didn't look like your photo and so I asked my mechanic about it he cleared up the misunderstanding. I'm gonna be replacing it this weekend and I'll snap some photos so we have the exact location.

    Edit:
Epicx, I don't have the same engine you do. Mine's the 2.0T TFSI. I found my sensor and replaced it but since we have different engines I decided to create a different post.
My sensor was definitely hard to find but maybe my guide will help you find yours.

On a 2.0tdi the crankshaft position sensor is located on the rear main seal flange of the engine, between the engine and gearbox.
