Sirius built into 2010 3G MMI?

I have a 2010 Avant w/ prestige and I do not have satellite radio as an option when I change radio bands. I think from my research that the Sirius module is built in these radios. I have also heard that a possible software patch from the dealer will restore Sirius option. All of this was discerned from multiple google searches and other forums. Can somebody confirm this before I go asking the dealer to fix something that may not be broken? Thanks!

I had this same issue a few months ago. To answer your original question, yes Sirius Radio is standard an built into the MMI 3G. You are also correct about the needed software update. I took my A6 to the dealer and they reflashed the MMI in less than 10mins and I was back jamming out!

Thanks! That's what I was looking for. Someone that had done it. All the threads I found on other forums mentioned it but with no confirmation whether someone had done this themselves or it was a hunch.

oh, and rayray... looking at your sig, you and I have very similar tastes.

we've had very similar Audi histories... only my a4 was a bit older, and we had an A8 in place of your Q5.
I did own an 08 S6 5.2 for about 4 months... sold because it horrified me.. I love speed... it horrified me because I was usually completely unaware that I was doing 120.
now I just need to catch up to your latest two :)
